Im not sure if this will help but I know a guy who had not used his account in a long time and they locked it and he had to send them via fax/email a copy of his passport and credit card which he would be using, he told me they sorted him out in a few days.
He also tried to set up another account with a different credit card but they would not allow him to do so.
Ummmmmm if they need to verify who you are and your credit card, did they suggest you fax or email them the info?
Hopefully someone else can help you better.
