Would you think that a whole pack of $10 scratch-off would contain only one ticket winner?
I witnessed that today at work.. Sad but true..
This was TN, Big Money Maker... Which should be called the World's Biggest Money Waster.
That's pretty grim. But yet another reason that I seldom buy a scratcher, and then only as a lark for a buck. Even the overall odds of winning a prize (as listed on the back of the tickets) are horrible for the amount you can get. And that doesn't consider the "crap shoot" of how many winning tickets may be in a roll of tickets.
Other than taking "a shot at it" once in awhile, scratchers are a lousy way to go. If I'm going to give away my money, I'd rather do it with better odds, or at least with a slim chance at a decent amount of potential payback.
I don't know that I would blame TN for what you witnessed. I'll bet it can happen in any state with scratchers.
How can you tell if a politician is lying?
Answer: His lips are moving.
