There is a small bug in some of the links to member profiles (and member favorites/recent posts).

Normally, you click on any member name and choose an option to view their profile from the popup menu.  However, when the bug occurs, instead of viewing the member's profile, it takes you to your own profile page.

I anticipate that the next update of the site will fix this, so until that time, if you see that bug here is a quick fix:

Go to the Options menu in the blue menu bar and select "Delete cookies set by Lottery Post".  After choosing that option, you will be logged off.  Click Log In to log back in.

After you log in, the profile popup menus should begin to function properly.

NOTE: You only need to do this if you experience the bug described above.  Don't bother doing it unless you do.

    Todd,

I couldn't include my email addy in a PM to a member. I got the message " Email address not allowed, or something like that,  but when I cleared my cache, it went away.

E-mail addresses are generally caught by the spam filter, because that's how many spammers communicate and get new people to give them money.  The spam filter is a computer program that quickly and automatically scans anything entered at Lottery Post (forums, PMs, signatures, blogs, etc.) and looks for spam.  It's something that's supposed to happen, unlike what I'm reporting here.

Thank you, Thank you,Thank you, Thank you.  I was going looney tunes with clearing out the cache and lotterypost cookies everytime I tried to read a member's past posts.  I thought that I wouldn't be able in the future to learn from the past (also I couldn't think of what was wrong with my computer after the fix you told me didn't stay fixed).  Thank you, Thank you, a million times Thank you.

Some how this doesn't make sense since it's been recommended that PMing another Member your e-mail address instead of posting your e-mail address in the forums is the more secure way to go, and when you use the recommended procedure it gets flagged because you have an e-mail address in the PM. (catch-22)

It's new members who are restricted from sending e-mail addresses.
