what are the rules governing non us citizens winning the Florida lottery

just a thought that came to mind , as a non us citizen if i was to say win the Florida lottery with a six million dollar jack pot and i take a cash settlement , after taxes how much will i walk away with

knowledge speaks , but wisdom listens.

    Check the Florida website, There was a guy from the Cayman Islands who won a 6 million dollar jackpot. Normally for non-U.S. citizens it's 30 percent of the jackpot or 1.8 million, if you take the cash option. That leaves you with 4.2 million, than take an additional 25% from that number and you end up with 3.05 million. (3,050,000.00) U.S. Dollars.

        The IRS takes 30% from all non US citizens lottery winnings! A US citizen only has 25% taken, but remember the US citizen will have to pay up another 10% at tax time when they file!

          Log on to USA lottery Results and bop on any state and it will show you how much you will get after taxes at the bottom..It shows you how much you will get in payments also..
