Since there are 5 Even digits and 5 Odd Digits you have the following as Root Pairs:
02 13
04 15
06 17
08 19
24 35
26 37
28 39
46 57
48 59
68 79
Now....here's how this works. The 2 Even digits in left column are all the possible pair combinations for Even Digits. Numbers on the right are all 2 Odd digit combinations for Odd Digits. These are the "root" pairs of all 3 different digit combinations.
Now....add each set for a Sum Total. For Even digits you will have Sums 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14. For Odd digits you will have 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16. Notice something? All Sum Totals of "Root Digits" will Sum Even. You dont have to worry about 2-3000 pairs where you will have a lot of 1 Even/1 Odd digit in the pair because all these pairs will have a Sum Total that is Even. <G>
Track the Sum Totals of the Root Digits and once you have the correct Root Pair you have 1 in 5 Odds of getting the 3 different digits that will play. If you use Sum Totals for the "overall" you can narrow the possiblilities even further.
