Okay folks, here's some info that you MAY find helpful. First of all, let me make this disclaimer, I am sure that I am not the first one to come up with this. I just thought that I would make a post on it so that hopefully someone could get some use out of it.
Anyway, if you look at your state's pick 3 draws you will notice that a majority of the numbers drawn are in these categories: HHL, HLL, OOE, OEE
For those that don't know H="high" numbers (5,6,7,8,9), L="low" numbers (0,1,2,3,4), E="even" numbers (0,2,4,6,8), and, you guessed it, O="odd" numbers (1,3,5,7,9)
So, if we reduce the possible combinations to ONLY those combos that fit into both possible high/low AND odd/even combinations we have these:
HO-HO-LE, HE-HO-LE, HE-HO-LO, HE-HE-LO, HO-LE-LE, HO-LE-LO, HE-LE-LO, AND HE-LO-LO
Okay, now lets get all possible numbers that fit the above combinations (I call these the "magic" 104 because there are 104 numbers: 83 singles and 21 doubles):
Yellow highlighted numbers are the doubles.
You will find that a MAJORITY of the numbers drawn in your state's pick 3 will be a "box" form of one of the numbers listed. Obviously, there are too many combinations to play every draw, so look at your state's drawings and try to decide what combos to play. You can play all the HHL or all the EOO, or use some other method to pick your combos. Remember this list of numbers is for "box" hits. You could also try mixing up the order of the numbers if you wanted to play for straight hits.
Anyway, this is the idea that I am currently working on. Hopefully it helps someone out. Please feel free to add to this post with any feedback or comments you wish.
