I'm just wondering what you guys are thinking, I usually always get the forecast right, but never win , but this time im feeling like the record is going to be broken, or reach 300 million. Who knows, with the soon approaching addition of Florida joining powerball in january 2009. Odds are going to go up!!

With addition of FL joining on the fun the game will now include another ball or how will the odds increase? I don't play PB, not in the available states. To my prediction it will go up and someone will win it mid next week.

The way it's been going, it will take at least 3 rolls to reach the previous record. Probability says it will roll on Saturday, but two more rolls is probably a bit les than a 50/50 bet. My guess is that birthday numbers will result in a win by next Wednesday, and the kind of numbers a lot of people don't like will let it roll at least twice more. Of course I hope I'm wrong, and it rolls until I win $415 million on October 15th.

Here is the projected info for addition of FL........
With the start of Powerball sales in Florida, planned for January 1, 2009 (with its first participating drawing January 3, 2009), the matrixes will change to 5/59 + 1/39 (adding four white ball numbers and dropping three red ball numbers). This change will boost the jackpot probability to 1:195 million while dropping the overall probability to 1:35. Based on statistical projections, the average jackpot won will increase from $95 million to $141 million. Over 3.5 million additional prizes are expected to be won yearly (based on the same sales level) due to the drop in overall probability. The starting jackpot will be increased from $15 million to $20 million. The jackpot contribution is being increased from 30.3% to 32.5% of total sales. The PowerPlay option, available for an extra $1 charge per play, will continue to multiply lower-tier prizes by either 2X, 3X, 4X or 5X with an equal chance of each multiplier, except that the Match 5+0 prize of $200,000 will automatically have a multiplier of 5X for PowerPlay wagers making the Match 5+0 prize $1 million, paid in a cash lump sum. The special rules allowing for a Match 5+0 bonus second prize if the jackpot exceeds its previous record by $25 million, triggered only twice, will be retained.
Hope im not breaking any forums rules with this. If so, please don't flame me Mr. Todd!

I don't ever "flame" people. Flaming someone means that you're attacking them, and I don't permit that kind of thing here -- from me or anyone else.
If I need to moderate something, which means to edit, delete, or move something, then I do it according to a set of rules I developed. It is not based on whether I personally like something or not, so there is nothing personal about it -- "all business".
Therefore, there is no need to plea with me about your post. If I need to moderate something on the forums, I am going to do it even if someone asks me not to. That's my job.
With the Powerball information you mentioned, I guess it's OK that you re-posted it, although it is better to post a link to the post(s) that have already been posted here with the information.
