i played 486 ten times straight on and off for four months before it finally hit.luckily i played it that day because i usually woke up in the late afternoons and purchased a ticket for the next day.the day my number hit i had not bought a ticket in advance and i was buying a coke that morning which was rare because i was never hardly up at that time and my clerk looked at me and asked me if i bought my numbers and i said no i was taking a break from it.she looked at me and said buy them.i said why.she looked at me seriously and said you better buy your numbers just do it.so i finally just threw my hands up more out of being pestered more than anything else mainly i stopped playing them because it was hitting.anyway i woke up that evening around seven and puttered around a bit.my girlfriend was pregnant and i wasn't working much at the time so we usually stayed up all night watching movies and just talking and passing time.anyway i was puttering around after i woke up and all the sudden i got sort of bored and suddenly i was like awww heck let me check this lottery draw results on the tennessee lottery website before i take my shower and get it over with so i can see the losing numbers again.well i clicked on there and my eyes went to the numbers and i just was like froze up and then i just had the greatest feeling of satisfaction and happiness just knowing those numbers hit and later i tipped my clerk a few tens and twenties.its a great rush especially when you win 5,000 dollars.my girlfriend even asked me what kind of a feeling do you get off of seeing that.i told her a great feeling of relief also that i don't have to chase that dang number no more,lol.after that when i had a favorite number i'd just bet it four times so i started winning 2,000 dollars but hey that was still plenty of money and i was so happy i didn't realize that i was just getting lucky.i didn't realize until much later i was the exception not the norm with that kind of thing......i just had an incredible run of good luck there for a good stretch.i think between the summer of 2004 until the winter of 2007 when i finally stopped i probably won somewhere altogether in the neighborhood of around 25,000 dollars before i stopped for a while and i intended to start back but tennessee went RNG in summer of 2007 so i quit for good.

man , my parents used to play 6/36 lotto when i was a midget. sheesh with carbon paper, 1 for the shop and 1 for us to keep. must have been the 70's. 77 i was 10. never did win but i was an addict back then. and took over to duties of buying tickets when i wa sold enough. and used to share or plan on sharing with ma in her later years. so id say 6/40 was my game it was 1st i bought tickets for.

It sucks, but that is the lottery for you. I can't even remember how many times I have been off by one number with Pick 3.

Probably not! Not on 1 predicted pick 3 number.

If you would always get 2 digits right out of 3 on 1 predicted number then:

2 digits = 1 pair out of 3 possible pairs.

Do you know which of the 3 pairs you would get right?

Probably not! So:

XX0, XX1, XX2 up to XX9 = 10 straight numbers counting also doubles and triples, otherwise:

(01) X 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 = 8 pick 3 singles (Straight).

Do the same for all 3 positions for 30 or 24 straight numbers.

(XX) 0 to 9

(X) 0 to 9 (X)

0 to 9 (XX)

30 Straight numbers per each draw.

So, How often Do you really get 1 pair right (Straight Pair)?

To really get 2 boxed digits right very often, there are 8 pick 3 numbers that can be played on every draw.

Those 8 numbers have already been posted on more than 1 thread somewhere here at LP.

But 2 boxed digits on any position don't pay any money, as far as I know.
