  Georgia Fantasy 5 - Observations & Picks
  
  Since October 19th I've been looking closely at the numbers. The history goes back quite far, I find that this is a good range to look at closely.
  
  There are 39 numbers in this game. Putting every 9 numbers in groups, from A to D.
  
  A: 1-9
  B: 10-19
  C: 20-29
  D: 30-39
  
  From the chart we can see that group BCD appears 39% of the time, while ABC comes in second at 22%, and ABCD in third at 19%.
  
  Fantasy 5 has daily drawing, so to get close to the jackpot we'll be sticking with group BCD. When doing so numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 are eliminated from selections, taking 39 down to 30 numbers. Going from 1 in 575,757 to 1 in 142,506.
  
  We need to take out more numbers, now we'll be looking at the repeats section in the chart.
  
  58% of the time a repeating number from the previous drawing will appear in the next drawing. Consider this in the 30 remaining numbers selections, keep in mind that number 1 - 9 are eliminated so any previous drawing containing number within group A is not consider for a repeat.
  
  We'll be selecting 1 previous numbers (excluding group A numbers), this may varies on how many numbers will be eliminated, from 4 numbers to 1. Not much of a reduction however, most importantly the repeated number is needed to complete the selection and win the jackpot. If the previous drawing numbers are in group BCD, selecting 1 number for repeat automatically we'll be discarding 4 numbers, taking 30 down to 26 numbers. Now, the odds being 1 in 65,780.
  
  Also not to forget the COLD FUSION for Georgia Fantasy 5, that 80% of the drawings contain at least 1 cold number (numbers in the last 10 drawings with no hit). From the list of cold numbers we discard any numbers in group A even if they are cold numbers. For the rest of the numbers we select 1 cold from the available set, this we have to check before picking our numbers to see the current cold numbers, as they will change daily.
  
  The available cold numbers varies, they are between 8 - 12 cold numbers, 2 - 5 will be in group A. Given an example, we'll use the current (11/24/08) cold numbers: 2-4-6-8-12-13-22-23-24-32-33-37. Looking at available set number 2-4-6-8 are discarded because they are in group A, leaving us with 12-13-22-23-24-32-33-37 to chose from. Selecting 1, say number 32 we'll discard 7 numbers bringing 26 down to 19 numbers to choose from. The new odds is 1 in 11,628. The available cold numbers varies so taking into account that we don't get to reduce the numbers down to 19 every time.
  
  We have taking the original set of numbers, 39 (1 in 575,757) down to 19 (1 in 11,628) cutting the odds down to 97.98%. You can reduce even further to 15 if you like with 1 being cold number, and 1 being a repeated number, your odd will be 1 in 3,003!
  
  One last observation to consider.
  
  The consecutive number appears 45% of the time, so check your lines to make sure that half of the amount you're playing has consecutive numbers; 22,23 or 21,22, or 12,13, etc...so if you're playing $10, 5 lines should have consecutive numbers, and each lines should have the same cold number.
  
  Once you have wheeled the remaining numbers, add up the numbers in each line for its SUM. It must be above 100 and under 141 that's the range the jackpot will appear along with group BCD, and all the mentioned details above.
  
  Review:
  
  - Eliminate numbers from group A.
  - Select numbers from group BCD.
  - 1 repeat number from the previous result, discard the other 4.
  - 1 cold number in the mix, discard the remaining cold numbers.
  - Be sure to have consecutive numbers in 1/2 of the amount you're going to play.
  - Check each line for its SUM between 100 - 141.
  
  
  When all this are considered you'll have a closer chance at the jackpot. And greater chance for lower prizes.
  
  I'll be posting up numbers in this thread (hopefully daily) with this parameters to see how I do. For now I only play on Friday (for promotion, buy 1 get 1 free quick pick), or when the jackpot hits $100,000+ for any other days I'll play. For now, let's practice on our number selections to get the feel for it.
