Hello, thought I would share with you Texans my observation on Texas Two Steps, aka TX2S. I will be moving to Texas next month, and thought to get a head start on this.

There are lots to look at, and it is overwhelming at first, but it is quite simple. The 1st row is the headings for the little sections, look at those first. Going from left to right we have;

- Date: Goes from top to bottom, new entry on top, old down below.

- GROUP: This column gives a quick glance to the numbers group within the results. We are breaking it down to four small groups, so that we can see the pattern it creates. The groups goes as follows;

• A: numbers between 1 - 8
• B: numbers between 9 - 17
• C: numbers between 18 - 26
• D: numbers between 19 - 35

The numbers in the same columns as the number groups (A,B,C,D) indicate the amount of digits within the group, they are also called number positioning, which we will get into later. Then they are combined to create a larger group which you see after the date, and they are color coded. The number groups; A,B,C,D will make up these following possible groups:

ABCD
ABC
ABD
ACD
BCD
AB
AC
BC
BD
CD

The excel sheet have observation starting 2008 till now. Within that time, there are 116 draws. I have the rundown on how which number group is HOT.

ABCD - 9 / 116 draws
ABC - 12 / 116 draws
ABD - 19 / 116 draws <
ACD - 18 / 116 draws <
HOT SETS
BCD - 27 / 116 draws <

AB - 2 / 116 draws
AC - 2 / 116 draws
AD - 6 / 116 draws
BC - 3 / 116 draws
BD - 9 / 116 draws
CD - 10 / 116 draws

- Results: The latest result on top. Would need to add row and insert new info, and then manually create the observation based on the result given. Since there is no coding for this sheet, everything is done manually...I have already done the hard part, now you just need to update it as new results comes in.

- R = Rpeated Numbers: "R" means repeated numbers. It is also indicated in blue digit, showing the repeated number from the previous draw. Since 2008 till Feb 12th, we have Repeated numbers: 31 times / 116 draws. This shows us that repeated numbers are not that frequent, and it is ok to not include the previous 4 numbers into our play slips.

- C# = Consecutive Numbers: There are  35 consecutive numbers in 116 draws. For best lines optimization cusomtize the picks to have no consecutive numbers.

- SUM: This is quite important, the total sum range indicated that there are certain sum range a player should aim for to maximize their lines for a jackpot, or higher prize payout.

These were conducted since 2008 draw till Feb 12th, 2009. There are 116 draws, and the sum range showing HOT to COLD, Max being 134 (35+34+33+32) and low being 10 (1+2+3+4). The extreme high and low combinations of sum range rarely comes, thsi chart here showing a year's worth of data and it still hasn't shown, that's because there are very few combinations to those sums. For best lines optimization aim for sum range 50 - 99, and best at 70-89. It have the most hits and will have the most hits because these sum range are within the "Normal Rhythm" of Texas 2 Steps. Besure to update the sum range with new result, to keep yourself updated.

Ok moving on...

After SUM you get:

- Low & High: This is very important to see how well a result is balanced. Low numbers are 1 - 18, and high numbers are 19 - 35. Since there are 4 digits in this game, the following combinations for low and highs;

Low & High

4L/0H:    5 / 116 draw
3L/1H:    27 / 116 draw
2L/2H:  49 / 116 draw <--- HOT SET (49 jackpots contain 2L/2H)
1L/3H:    28 / 116 draw
0L/4H:    8 / 116 draw

For best optimization on the lines, make sure there are 2 low digits (numbers between 1 - 18), and 2 high digits (numbers between 19 - 35). 2L/2H is hot because it is within the "Normal Rhythm" of Texas 2 Steps. When playing the line within the normal rhythm you have the best shot at higher prizes and te jackpot!

- Even & Odd: Within the 4 digits game, there are even and odd numbers. Here is the following counts on the possible digits containing even/odds in the winning combinations since 2008 till Feb 12th, 2009.

4E/0O: 4 / 116 draw
3E/1O: 15 / 116 draw
2E/2O: 61 / 116 draw <--- HOT SET (61 jackpots containing 2E/2O)
1E/3O: 28 / 116 draw
0E/4O: 8 / 116 draw

Again, it does not matter which HOT Low & High combination you decide to go, the normal rhythm showcase that 2 digits must be even and 2 digits must be odd for best optimization. If you're wonder which of the possible combinations with low & high and even & odds are hot, well here I have the data:

Low/High + Even/Odd combo

4L/0H + 4E/0O:
4L/0H + 3E/1O:
4L/0H + 2E/2O: 4 / 116 draw
4L/0H + 1E/3O:
4L/0H + 0E/3O: 1 / 116 draw

3L/1H + 4E/0O:  3 / 116 draw
3L/1H + 3E/1O:  5 / 116 draw
3L/1H + 2E/2O: 16 / 116 draw <--- HOT SET
3L/1H + 1E/3O: 3 / 116 draw
3L/1H + 0E/3O:

2L/2H + 4E/0O: 1 / 116 draw
2L/2H + 3E/1O:  3 / 116 draw
2L/2H + 2E/2O: 25 / 116 draw <--- HOT SET
2L/2H + 1E/3O: 14 / 116 draw
2L/2H + 0E/3O: 6 / 116 draw

1L/3H + 4E/0O:
1L/3H + 3E/1O: 4 / 116 draw
1L/3H + 2E/2O: 11 / 116 draw
1L/3H + 1E/3O: 12 / 116 draw
1L/3H + 0E/3O: 1 / 116 draw

0L/4H + 4E/0O:
0L/4H + 3E/1O: 2 / 116 draw
0L/4H + 2E/2O: 6 / 116 draw
0L/4H + 1E/3O:
0L/4H + 0E/3O:

The Hot sets of Low & High + Even & Odd indicating that these two are the normal rhythm combinations, 41 total jackpot wins if played numbers within these two sets. Now, here it gets interesting.

Within a set, there are number possitioning, and this referrs back to the number group.

Number Groups:

ABCD
1-1-1-1: 9 / 116 draws

ABC
2-1-1-0: 3 / 116 draws
1-2-1-0: 5 / 116 draws
1-1-2-0: 4 / 116 draws

ABD
1-2-0-1: 7 / 116 draws
1-1-0-2: 5 / 116 draws
2-1-0-1: 7 / 116 draws

ACD
1-0-2-1: 9 / 116 draws
2-0-1-1: 5 / 116 draws
1-0-1-2: 4 / 116 draws

BCD
0-2-1-1: 11 / 116 draws
0-1-2-1: 8 / 116 draws
0-1-1-2: 8 / 116 draws

AB
1-3-0-0: 1 / 116 draws
3-1-0-0: 1 / 116 draws
2-2-0-0:

AC
1-0-3-0
3-0-1-0: 1 / 116 draws
2-0-2-0: 1 / 116 draws

1-0-0-3: 2 / 116 draws
3-0-0-1: 1 / 116 draws
2-0-0-2: 3 / 116 draws

BC
0-1-3-0: 1 / 116 draws
0-3-1-0: 1 / 116 draws
0-2-2-0: 1 / 116 draws

BD
0-1-0-3: 3 / 116 draws
0-3-0-1: 3 / 116 draws
0-2-0-2: 3 / 116 draws

CD
0-0-1-3: 4 / 116 draws
0-0-3-1: 4 / 116 draws
0-0-2-2: 2 / 116 draws

The groups in red are hot groups, and the blue indicating number possitioning. For ABCD, there can only be 1 digit per slot to make up four digit for the game. 1 in A, 1 in B, 1 in C, and 1 in D.

While three number groups such as ABC have the following number possitioning;

1-1-2-0 = 1 number in A, 1 number in B, 2 numbers in C, 0 number in D

1-2-1-0 = 1 number in A, 2 numbers in B, 1 number in C, 0 number in D

2-1-1-0 = 2 numbers in A, 1 number in B, 1 number in C, 0 number in D

This helps to keep the lines balanced and closer to the jackpot!

Then we look at the Bonus ball.

- BONUS BALL: Same with the whiteballs the Bonus balls also have number groups, and they act the same way. But instead of looking at number positioning we look at which group is hot/cold at the moment and make our best prediction on it. Once we have the group, say A, we can select desired amount of bonus balls within group A to pair it with the lines of 4 digits. All the number groups for the bonus balls shows up about the same amount, give or take by one or two draws, but very closely matched. So can't really say overall which bonus ball number group is worth holding on to...there isn't any. That's why the sheet help keep track of its movements, to see which are hot/cold at the current time, prior to the next draw.

-------

So, there you have it, my review and observation on Texas Two Steps. The normal rhythm is found for this game, now we have to lock and hold it for the jackpot. Select numbers within the "Normal Rhythm" for best lines.

If there is something need further explainations let me know, and I'll do my best. :)

Thor, look at the bottom left hand corner of the sheet, there should be two worksheets; "Texas 2 Steps" and "Sum Range". The page might opened the page to "Sum Range". Click on "Texas 2 Steps" sheet and it should have the rest of the info. :)

If that's not the case, then it might be different verson of Excel compatbility. The sheet was created on Excel 2003 on a Mac.

Good to go! This thread can also be used to post up TX2S predictions, up to 20 lines prior to the next draw.

Thank you :)

Your welcome great spreadsheet work, have you got a straight pick 6 or 7 from 49 that I may download my friend, so I may get into what everyone is doing on this site, I only concentrate on straight wins.

The only sheets I have are for Mega Million, Win For Life, Fantasy 5, Texas Two Steps, PowerBall, and pick 3/4. I only track the ones I play. If you like, feel free to use the sheet and customize it with 6/49 results. Would need to do everything manually like how the sheet is structured. This way it is organized.
