Anyone else try and buy tickets in another state? B/C of Superstition?Prev TopicNext Topic

  The reason I ask is I have read the last 2 Large Mega Millions jackpots were won from the state of GA.  Where I happen to buy tickets.     The folks from Portal, GA that won 275 million and Ed Nabors that one half of a $390 million dollar pot.    I am thinking that my luck in  GEORGIA might be tapped out!   I bought 2 scratchers and the rest on MM tickets.    My  scratchers were  losers.....and tonight I matched only 2 numbers and the MegaBall.    I think I am going to diversify and buy my Mega Millions tickets this weekend in Virginia. 

   

  Just thought VA hasn't had a HUGE jackpot in a while......

  I don't think it's superstition to me; New Jersey is a garbage state. haha.

  What do you mean "New Jersey is a garbage state"?  Not sure I understand that comment.

  Conan O'brien and other New Yorkers make fun of New Jersey all of the time.  The stereotype is that New Jersey is a garbage state.  It's all a joke.  I saw a bumper sticker the other day.  It was a picture of factory with pollution coming out and it read "New Jersey: The vacation of a lifetime".

  The only other states I've ever bought tickets in besides my own(Louisiana) are New York, Idaho, and Colorado.
  
  I didn't buy because of superstition, I bought them because I had a chance to play games that weren't available in my home state.
  
  None of the tickets were winners, though, oh well.

  I bet it's jealousy. New Jersey was just nudged out of first place for richest state by Maryland. NY hasn't even made it to the top ten.
