Ok, here are today's Pick-4 for Dummies. One of the tops questions asked is how do I select from among these numbers to play?
Like we do with the Pick-3 for Dummies I suggest you select numbers based on your astrological birth sign, if you add up the digits in the Pick-4 number and reduce that number to a single digit or root sum, and play the result just like we do for the Pick-3. If you need an example go to my blog or check out any of my Pick-3 for Dummies posts in the Pick-3 lottery forum here at the Lottery Post.
I will give you an example here; let's say you were born under the birth sign of Scorpio (8) you would most likely want to play the 3-8-1-5 and 5-1-7-4, [3+8+1+5 = 17 (1+7=8)] [5+1+7+4 = 17 (1+7=8)].
These are the default play or how my computer(s) say the number will fall across the board in any given state. Now for state specific straight sequenced picks you should run your own work outs and compare the results to those of my default picks.
Today, Saturday 03/07/2009 in the Mid-Day game for the state of New York the state specific run downs are; 3-5-8-1 and 5-7-4-1. Now what is so significant about these results is that even thou they don't match up exactly, I am hoping that I got the first digit right. That is I am almost sure that the "3" in the 3581 will fall in the first position and that the "5" will fall in the first postition for 5741. That then gives me 6-ways to play the Pick-4 instead of the 24-ways the number could fall.
In the example above therefore I would most likely play the following straight to win;
Note: You should always cover your bet (cyb), put at least a minimum bet boxED on 1358 and 1457 so should you be off the mark at least you still hit the number boxED.
Good luck to everyone today.
