there are gauranteed amounts on each roll. i also bought a roll of lifetime riches as well as my brother and mother. i hit 140, my brother hit 240 and my mother hit 240. they both had an \$100 ticket.

this is how you do this.  you can look at the ncel site on each scratch off.  there odds are

\$10    1 in 10

\$15     1 in 15

\$20     1 in 7.5

\$40     1 in 84.21

\$100    1 in 139.53 etc

so if you look   you are gauranteed  3 - \$10 , 2 - \$15, 4 - \$20 per a roll  which adds to \$140. the odds of winning in this particuliar game is 1 in 3.12 so that puts it at 9 winners per a roll. so lets say you buy a roll and have an \$500 dollar winner the chances are you would finish with \$640.

we have done this with other tickets as well. for instance the \$1000 dollar mania you are gauranteed \$196 dollars. so we went out and bought 2 rolls and both got exactly 196 back.

You are NOT guarenteed anything when you gamble. Most rolls will have many more losers than winners. The lotterys can not stay in business by selling more winning tickets than losing tickets. There is no way that I would buy a full roll of tickets and expect to come out ahead.

What you said is:

"so if you look   you are gauranteed  3 - \$10 , 2 - \$15, 4 - \$20 per a roll  which adds to \$140. the odds of winning in this particuliar game is 1 in 3.12 so that puts it at 9 winners per a roll. so lets say you buy a roll and have an \$500 dollar winner the chances are you would finish with \$640."

I disagreed with that statement. When it comes to gambling you are not guarenteed anything. You and your family members may very well have had the luck you described, but in no way is every roll of tickets going to produce the same results. The next roll of tckets that you buy may have only \$50 worth of winners on it.By the same token you might get lucky and find the top prize on another roll. But to say that you are gaurenteed a certain number of prizes per roll is just plain wrong.Just my opinion.

The algorithm used to distribute tickets among the packs does insert a certain number of lower-tier winning tickets in each pack. Some state lottery websites disclose this. The Texas Lottery website for example states for many of their scratch off games the "Guaranteed Total Prize Amount" per pack.

On average, you will lose around 40-60% of the pack value (depending on the odds set for the pack and game). The larger prizes are distributed among "x" number of packs (again depending on the odds of the game overall).

Look at the new Texas Game No. 1057 - Set For Life . It has a Guaranteed Total Prize Amount of \$160 per pack:

I stand corrected.

But I sure as hell wouldn't pay \$1000 for a pack of 20 tickets.Hell,I wouldn't pay \$50 for one ticket.

We do not have the lottery or casinos in Hawaii.  This website have valuable information.  What are the odds for \$10.00 and \$20.00 scratch tickets in Washington state?

MRDNICE,I didn't mean anything personal with my responses, its just that I know that lotterys are in business to make money and to do that they need to sell a heck of a lot more losing tickets than winning tickets.

Personally Its your money and your investment , its lady luck that will decide the outcome :)

I wish you well in your endeavor though. Its a risk yet one that can benefit you either with moola or wisdom :)

I bought 5 -20\$ tickets and didnt win a dime! Went and bought a 2\$ and won a hundred so in an odd way  -so broke even.

Eh, I've bought multiple tickets and with no luck.  I'd rather try to get lucky with 1 or at least win something minor (like 10 dollars) than to piss away a good chunk of cash for the possibility that I may get a little bit back.  I really see no difference in buying 1 ticket than a whole roll except that you lose a lot less.

You are talking about spending  \$320 on scratchers with not a very big upside.  If I were you I would buy either 320 powerball tickets or 160 powerball tickets with powerplay.

You have a potential to walk away with a lot more \$\$\$ than what a \$2 scratcher can give you.

You've already lost \$170, need I say more what a rip off scratch offs are? They are a total and complete waste of money. Buy Pick 5 tickets instead.
