What is the best systematic approach to composing a list of numbers to play for this game? All advice is welcomed.

Although I don't live in a Mega- Millions state

I have been running a kina-of-like survey, as far as targeting, one draw a Month.

The First draw of the month to be more specific,

......and I've found, that  2  4  8  and 9  seem to be the first number

it also  seems to like 13 and 16 either first, or second number,

and for that peticular draw, it would seem to be o.k. to throw in a 20 number like

                                                22  24 26  mabey even 28

the ending seems to have gotten on a roll with a 50 type number at the end,

but thats kinda been shaken up lately.

Anyway, thats only one draw a Month, and I only went back as far as 2007.

Check it out if you like.

This is a lottery forum as you thought but members probably thought you had done some research and read about hot, cold and overdue numbers strategies and was interested in something that worked better.

Now that it's clear that any advice would be appreciated mine would be to collect MegaMillions data going back to 06/24/05 when the last matrix change was made.  Classify the numbers in several categories such as hot, cold, overdue and normal and check which type were most commonly drawn recently.  Make up some similar combinations and play them.  This hasn't worked for me but maybe you'll have a little more luck than I've had.  Good luck.

Is there an easy way to classify all of the data without physically dissecting each one. Such as Excel....etc.

I suppose for someone who knows Excel it would be fairly easy to do once they had defined each category and how they would be used but for someone like me who knows nothing about Excel, learning to use Excel would be the hard part.

My best advice to give to anyone is to pick a system (any system will do) and stick with it.  Either it doesn't work or it does.

There are all sorts of fun ways to pick numbers.  Play around with them and find one you like.

What is the best systematic approach to composing a list of numbers to play for this game? All advice is welcomed.

I keep an excel file of all Texas games including MM. I typically play numbers by frequency and by position. Position by the individual number and by decades (1-9; 10-19, etc). This year I have played $131 and won $8. So obviously this system is NOT a consistent winner. Plus I only play 2 lines for each drawing and I Megaply because the odds are so much lower getting 5 out of 5 and I'd rather win up to $1 mil rather than $250K.

Having said all that, I believe that there is no "system" that is going to produce a winner except that a huge amount of luck is involved. It is what it is because we're playing games with overwhelming odds, over 175 mil to one with MM. I play the way I do and keep track of the numbers because it's more fun that way. But I would have just as good a chance with QP's as with what I'm doing.

                  Good luck.

I have the excel sheet for Mega breakdown on its statistic, allowing one to see its behaviors, quite awesome. It is not ready, because I've been busy finalizing it for release.
