My Husband is the same way!!  When I win its wonderful, but when I go to get my tickets he says its a waste of good money!!  I told him that I wanted to help our family and then his reply is " who helpped us?"

Hope we win big and fool them both.

Nope. My family knows that playing the lottery is a hobby for me and that I get enjoyment out of it. Smile

put it down and work on it tomorrow. I like playing the slots he doesn't, so he sit there watching ever move I make until I start to win, and he so helpful. My father plays the lotteryhe 78. My mother complain all the time about it until he win she want half of the money, are she takes him to store to spend some on her. It always good to have your own money to spend like you want.

Problem gambling is any gambling behavior that disrupts your life. If you're preoccupied with gambling, spending more and more time and money on it, chasing losses, or gambling despite serious consequences, you have a gambling problem.

Problems caused by excessive gambling are not just financial. Too much time spent on gambling can lead to relationship breakdown and loss of important friendships.

Problem gamblers often rationalize their behavior. Blaming others is one way to avoid taking responsibility for their actions, including what is needed to overcome the problem.

If a problem gambler builds up a debt, bailing the gambler out of debt may actually make matters worse by enabling gambling problems to continue.

Problem gamblers typically deny or minimize the problem. They also go to great lengths to hide their gambling. For example, problem gamblers often withdraw from their loved ones, sneak around, and lie about where they've been and what they've been up to.

You may have a gambling problem if you: Feel the need to be secretive about your gambling. You might gamble in secret or lie about how much you gamble, feeling others won't understand or that you will surprise them with a big win.

You may have a gambling problem if you: Have trouble controlling your gambling. Once you start gambling, can you walk away? Or are you compelled to gamble until you've spent your last dollar, upping your bets in a bid to win lost money back?

You may have a gambling problem if you: Gamble even when you don't have the money. A red flag is when you are getting more and more desperate to recoup your losses. You may gamble until you've spent your last dollar, and then move on to money you don't have: money to pay bills, credit cards, or things for your children. You may feel pushed to borrow, sell or even steal things for gambling money. It's a vicious cycle. You may sincerely believe that gambling more money is the only way to win lost money back. But it only puts you further and further in the hole.

You may have a gambling problem if you: Family and friends are worried about you. Denial keeps problem gambling going. If friends and family are worried, listen to them carefully. Take a hard look at how gambling is affecting your life. It's not a sign of weakness to ask for help.

My wife used to get upset about me spending money on the lottery. However, after I did my homework and started winning, she now stands behind me 100%. She realizes that it is a hobby of mine and that occasionally my hobby brings in a little extra cash to help out with the bills.

Well believe it or not , I have some discoveries with lottery and ifany one challenges me I cant win a lottery he is a fool, as if I haveto certainly win I can and under all cirumstances I can win guranteedone is 20 tries.

Now if you guys ae really keen to win lotttery i amy need someone toarrange a seminar on thiis subject, or else welcome to call me and chatfor a while i am in Denmark-Europ and I do have land line tel in NY USAand the call will be diverted to Denmark.

About the florida lottery.. all lottery games upto 90 numbers and nopoweball etc are easier to win and easier for me to construct thewinning numbers but games with pwoerball means play every game with allthe powerballs- that is extremly expensive...

Further games with even numbers are more easier like 90 numbers inSuper ena lottery-does not matter the 1:900 million chance to win ormega sena 60 numbers numbers 1-49  or 1-43 odd is more diffficult.  Iam a guy who is running a company winning for people lottery and so farmy winnigs in 16 years is around US$140 million after tax and in 16years the total amount spent to win this amount is 1.6 million $ thatis 10 % of the winnings....

God had given us brains and I know exactly how to win a lottery with brains.

The name of this thread is "Does your family get sick of you playing the lottery?".  Raven62 probably thought if someone sickens their family by their actions then that could be a problem which is a reasonable response to the question.

If my family includes me, then the answer is "Yes."   I'm sick of me playing the lottery.

Otherwise, I never discuss it with my family.

My husband often walks into the local store where I play lottery, keno and other games and say to my cohorts, who are also playing, "somebody, give my wife the number to gamblers anonymous.....and then, he proceeds to play also.

Other members of my family have now come to except my playing. As long as I  can pay for it, not complain of losing all of the time and continue to play, report some wins from time to time, then they don't find it a big problem.

Heck, it's relaxing, exciting and fun for me.
