8/9/2009

I am doing a small survey regarding the megamillions lottery draw for Tuesday, August 11, 2009 with the jackpot at approximately 124 Million.  If you would like to contribute to the survey, just go to your lottery retailer and purchase just one quickpick (white balls and megaball) and then post your numbers on this thread.  That's it.  I would like to get contributions from those who live in the megamillion states of:

California
Georgia
Illinois
Maryland

Massachusetts
Michigan
New Jersey
New York

Ohio
Texas
Virginia
Washington

All I need are 12 quickpicks (one for each state) for my survey.
If possible, those that contribute to Maddogs Mega Millions Challenge would be preferred.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Good Luck!

Why would you prefer the ones who contribute to Maddogs Mega Millions Challenge over others' quick picks?

Ok, I'll be first. Just got my tics for today thru Wed (all Tx jackpot games). I don't normally buy QP's, and I for sure wouldn't play this combination, (maybe that's why I don't win much at this game, LOL).

        It doesn't really matter.
It's just that most of my favorite posters just happen to post on Maddogs Mega Millions Challenge.
        Just my personal preference.

        My quickpick is:

        14 - 41 - 42 - 46 - 51  MB = 18

        Texas

Thanks to those who participated for the 8/11 draw!  Not to successful of a survey this time.

I'll try it one more time to see if I can get some more contributors.  It would be a lot easier if I had relatives in all these states!

What are you trying to survey?

                Curious.

                  QP for 8-14-09 MM

                  11-12-19-35-51+25

What are you trying to survey?

                  Curious.

Based on a variety of Quickpicks I've tested using Texas data and relatives in diiferent Texas cities, I've noticed that when the MM draw rolls, there are common numbers that appear on quickpicks when only one quickpick was purchased.  And for the most part none of the quickpick numbers were selected either.  What I would like to do is to check and see if this pattern repeats itself amongst all MM states.  If it does, then I might be able to cross reference all those numbers against my MM analysis to come up with a set of numbers for a potential wheeling possibility which I would post.  A lot of work in a little time.  My hypothesis is that there are common numbers on a quickpick across all states when the lottery rolls.

                  Good Luck!

                    QP for 8-14-09 MM

What are you trying to survey?

                    Curious.

                    8/13/2009

I just noticed you had 19 on your quickpick.  I had 19 on mine also.
Your quickpick is very interesting.  It has my three of my top ten numbers 11 - 19 - 51.
If it would have had 36, it would have been four of my best 10.

My hypothesis is that there are common numbers on a quickpick across all states when the lottery rolls.

Just based on these 2 quickpicks, I would assume (based on my hypothesis) that if I had 1 quickpick
for all the megamillion states, I would find several more number 19's.  How many I don't know?
That would be part of the survey.  If I found quite a few, I might reasonably assume that the number 19
might be a "seed" number if you will, that may or may not come up in the drawing.

                    Good Luck!

Thanks for everyone's submissions.  Since I didn't receive the data I was looking for, I am going to end this thread.  Maybe someone else would like to expand on this idea in the future.

Anyway, to briefly summarize the five quickpicks that were submitted (25 white balls), I find it interesting that there was only one number in the forties. (43)  A lot of times on quickpicks, you will have numbers that were part of the winning set in the last draw.  In our case of (25 white balls), there were two of these numbers (12 & 15)

                        If there were no winning numbers on the one quickpick selections, then we could eliminate the following numbers:  03 - 04 - 11 - 12 - 15 - 18 - 19 - 21 - 27 - 28 - 30 - 31 - 34 - 35 - 36 - 37 - 43 - 51 - 52 - 53 - 55.
I'm not sure they were all single QP's, so I don't know that I would eliminate all these numbers.
                        Some of my favorite numbers in this set are 11 - 19 - 34 - 36.

I think I would be leaning towards numbers in the 40s to hit (maybe 3); 42 (repeat), 45, 46, 47, 48 look ok.

                        Good Luck!
