  I discovered it many years ago, but never put much attention to it until just now.

  The permutations should be from Lowest Digits to Highest.

  Then you Subtract the lowest digit from the 2nd lowest and that result is Subtracted from the 3rd lowest, that is from the highest digits.

  In other words:

  The Lth Digit is subtracted from the Middle Digit and the result is subtracted from the Rth Digit.

  It can also be used for straights just as the Sum, but the subtraction is always done from lowest to highest digits.

  I think that it is my discovery, because I have never seen any posts anywhere from anybody else talking about it.

  I call it, the "Subtraction" filter.

  It is very much like the Sum, but not quite the same.

  It looks kind of like a combination of LDR and the Sum.

  It has 10 patterns from 0 to 9 like the LDR and the Root, but like on the Sum they are unequal, most combos are on the middle Subtractions.

  Their distribution like on the Sums is equal only in which the lowest to middle Subtractions are equal in number of combinations to the highest to middle Subtractions.

  Very interesting analysis, Lantern.

  I just plugged this formula into my Excel workbook for Texas Pick 3 Night and found the following hits of each of the 10 filter values (0 to 9) in the last 3,000 games:

  Filter 0: 92 times
  Filter 1: 217 times
  Filter 2: 310 times
  Filter 3: 407 times
  Filter 4: 497 times
  Filter 5: 444 times
  Filter 6: 417 times
  Filter 7: 314 times
  Filter 8: 225 times
  Filter 9: 77 times

  This was based on the permutation of each night's draw (the winning number's boxed digits sorted from least to greatest).

  I also found that as a rule, if a filter value repeats two games in a row, it won't repeat a third time in the majority of cases. Also if one tracks the skips of each filter, they can either anticipate a hit or throw out the numbers completely if it looks like it's on a bad skip.

  Thanks again, I'm going to look into this more.

  Unlike the Sums there are only 10 patterns to keep track of, but like on the Sums, at the ends 0 and 9 there are fewer combinations and most of the combinations are on the middle at 4 and 5.

  It does not take the place of the Sums, it is just another, but similar filter, it makes tracking easier.

  The good about the Sums filter is that from them, you get other filters such as the LDR and the Root.

  The Subtraction filter already gives you just 1 digit pattern.

  I should had introduced it years ago, when I first discovered it.

  Those who already use Sums should like it.

  It can be called "Sub" for short.

  And it can be represented by "-" (The Minus Sign).

  I time there was a pattern repeat of the Sub from last to very next draw, Sub # 6.
  As said before, on those draws no pattern came out 3 times in sequence.
  Sub 0 didn't show-up and Sub 9 came out 1 time.
  There are about 25 past draws there and some Sub patterns came out several times,those were "Hot".
  Out of the Sub patterns you can't derive LDR and Root like patterns, but you can still get  my "Difference" filters out of it.
  You can also make a 0 to 9 daily graph chart that will show the movement of the Sub patterns.

  That was mostly due to all those Doubles.

  7 and 6 were also Hot.

  I just remade the chart, now it is right, kind of.

  But, later some-time I will do one with the doubles and triples on the right side of the lines.

  I had to create this in excel to speed up the calculations, and to see the hit rates within 30 days.

  Anyone like a copy simply download it. Going to use this along with other filters for str hits!!! Thanks LANTERN.

  An image of the Sub filter in Lotsoft. What is so nice about this is the filter is available for every states lottery. Look at the skips for Sub 5's Dbls-Trips, at the max.
