Stuff can happen, i feel Lottos and Powerballs should select the winners 37% of the time, the rest it should be random...How will you feel if the thing you like the most which might be lottery was taken from you and you got a stroke your wife left you and nobody to take care of you...Wouldnt you want the Lotto of Powerball to come to the rescue then....

Dont forget it can happen to anyone...

suppose you are paralyzed from the waist down or neck down or get a stroke, etc, etc, etc....

The Forex trades: 1.6 Trillion dollars EVERY day, that´s more than the GDP of the Carribbean Central America, COMBINED. What do Lotteries want? Your Money!

What do Lotteries do? Leave you Broke & Broken (If you let them)!

What Lotteries aren't: In the Business of Rescuing Players!

This is what people buy insurance for...  not lottery tickets.

The lottery should remain completely random.

over 700,000, strokes in America alone every year and you want powerball to select people out of  all the rest of us, there are only 104 powerball drawings a year.

Powerball nor any other lottery is in the business of rescuing people.

People buy tickets and nobody knows until after a drawing who's a winner or not.

Medicaid will take care of those folks, PowerBall should continue to give out prizes to players who pick the winning numbers.  That way all the losers know they didn't win because they didn't pick the right numbers and not because they weren't sick enough to win.

yeah but how many of them are lottery players and to be more specific how many of them are powerball players...

700,000 strokes??? that´s almost 42% the population of some states, what is that, how many people eat cholocolate or take a shower every day...that´s way too much to be stroke victims...

people have TERRIBLE LIVES to end up suffering strokes...

How about people who need new livers because of overly exuberant bartenders?

It's not their fault they get overserved at the bar every day!

Yeah and who gets the task of selecting the lucky - not so lucky stroke victim?

Better yet who would play knowing the winnings would go to someone else?

Lotteries are not charitable organizations nor Health insurance agencies. I buy tickets for a chance to win, not for the prize money to be given away for any other reason. There are organizations to aid those with afflictions. The day the lottery starts giving prize money to anyone who has not bought a ticket is the day the lottery dies.
