The second paragraph (I bolded it) of this is pretty funny, read on:

IS THERE A SECRET TO IMPROVE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING POWERBALL?

Yes. There is a way to improve your chance of winning the dual-drumgames (Powerball, Mega-Millions, Hot Lotto, and Wild Card). But youhave to promise to keep the secret – called THE BIG SECRET TO WINNINGPOWERBALL -- between you and me.

First, we need to cover some things that don’t work. Swinging alive chicken above your head while wishing for the future numbers doesNOT work. There is no improvement to be had by swinging a dead chicken.Although I have not tested it, swinging a bucket of extra crispy is notlikely to work either. We have had winners who played their fortunecookie numbers – on two occasions – but such things are just bound tohappen sometimes. It is also no good to follow the alignment of theplanets or the arrangement of tea leaves or any other such thing. Anyof these ideas will win sometimes, but that is just chance working itsmagic and there is no guarantee.

It is obvious that buying more tickets will help, but the oddsare still high and hitting the jackpot is still a question of fate. Thesecret to the dual-drum games is that they pay a prize for matchingjust one number from the second drum – and they only draw one numberfrom that drum. There are 39 numbers in Powerball’s second drum and so,if a group buys 39 tickets in the Powerball game, each with unique redPowerball number, then you are 100% guaranteed to win the $3 prize, atleast. At first, that $3 might not seem like much, but if you thinkabout it, you can see just how special this secret can be for a group. In a regular (pick 6) lotto game, a group can buy lots of tickets andsometimes never win anything. In Powerball (and the other dual-drumgames), you can buy a set of tickets that will have a winner EVERYTIME. A lottery may occasionally offer special pricing on a ticketpackage, but why wait for the lottery to run a limited-time promotion? With this secret you can create your own discount (a rebate really) forEVERY draw.

This secret does take a little extra work, of course. In all except onestate, you have to find a clerk with time to spare or you have toprepare 39 play slips and mark out each Powerball number (some stateswill allow the terminal to computer-pick the white ball numbers; otherswill require them to be filled out too). The one state is Iowa, whichhas a secret button on the lottery terminal that will allow the clerkto automatically punch up tickets that cover all 39 Powerball rednumbers (and all 46 Mega Millions gold numbers too). If the clerkscan’t find the button, tell him to press the “special offers” button onthe screen and look for the option. Otherwise, just pick up lots ofplay slips and your group can get a guaranteed win every draw.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

or you could spend $39 on your own picks and not have all the PB's covered and win nothing. If you have $39 to spend on tickets...I'd atleast cover all the PB's.

      $1,000,000
