This was on the tickets today:

PLAY IL LOTTO, #1 MILNMAKER! 950+ IL LOTTO PLYERS HAVE WON $MILNS! WED  LOTTO=$10.5 MIL  BUY 1

I've never seen them put something like that on Lotto. When it was announced Illinois would get Powerball in addition to Mega Millions I wondered if Lotto could compete. The Lotto jackpot tonight was $10.5 million, Powerball $260 million, which one do you think got more play?

There are three drawings a week, Mon., Wed., and Sat. Monday night is the only night this game isn't competing with Mega Millions or Powerball. The jackpot starts at $2 million and progresses very slowly.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

yea they got problem competing.  Jackpot level progresses by 250k or 500k each time, so no more than a million tickets gets bought each draw.

IL Lotto is tricky, they appear to give you a good deal, 1 dollar two draws, and one might think one has chance to win Jackpot with 1 in 10 milliion odds, but those odds are based on  two lines or $1.00.   If you play only 1 line, then actual odds  1 in over 20 mil
