Just finished watching this on HBO, some of the stuff William "Bud" Post did was ridiculous. He added on like 2-3 rooms on his house and ended up being too heavy so they didn't even have sheetrock, they were just shells of a room, along with buying over 400 pairs of the same color/type of pants at ONE TIME. He got mad at his wife (the 5th or 6th one) and threw all her jewelry into the pool then filled it with dirt. Also he was 1/2 a million in debt after his first annuity payment of ~$500,000 There was also a long list of other horrible decisions on his part.
All the other stories were quite nice though, nobody really losing their money in horrible ways and they all seemed like really good people. James was a bit odd though (the cat guy). I wish they would have done a one-hour show on each person (besides Verna, who just talked about how she was playing for a "sure thing", after losing for 30 years). The following of the White family was nice since they talked about the overall effect of winning (how friends feel towards them, dealing with people asking how they got their money, teaching their kids to deal with the new wealth, managing their money, etc).
