My wife and I were in a coinvenience mart in Missouri today (I've posted about this place before, we live in Illinois) and were filling out some playslips.
A guy saw us filling them out (nothing triggers a conversation like lotto!) and he tells us a story about driving a friend of his, from Missouri, to Michigan recently.
According to the guy, the friend played lotto and bought the winning Mega Millions ticket, a QP.
He said the guy is still up there in Michigan. It sounds like the guy might be a trucker as the guy telling us the story said the guy who won is going to "leave his semi up ther and tell them to come get it."
This was for the October 29th drawing. Look for the news to say the winner was from Missouri who bought the ticket in Michigan.
Either the guy talking to us was legit or had one heck of an imagination.
We shall see.
Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.
There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.
