Just what I was afraid of.

I just checked out the official PA lottery site.

            Each person will receive $1,266.00.

            Not bad...but, not $50,000.00

maybe they will all play 1266 in the pick 4 and win again.

I won the Pick-5 in 2002, and got $6,300 "only", and with less weird numbers.

This is the issue with computerized games (which the PA TH is) - results like that can be either just how the random numbers came out or a programming bug that kicked in only on that day. I theorize it got "stuck" at 01 and since it can't repeat digits it just started with each next digit 02 through 05.

AM THINKING: why it got stuck: whatever subroutine mixes the numbers randomly, encountered an error and returned but did not stop the program to go on selecting from the virtual stack of balls so it would be like loading the chutes and just dumping them out with tumbling or dealing cards from a brand new deck.

I just don't think that was a valid result. I wonder how many QP terminals did the same thing and QP'ed 01 thru 05?
