So anybody know the odds of picking 6 numbers out of the 10 possible for a

Pick 3 then wheeling those 6 numbers in 20 different plays & not getting a

single one right because even though you picked 6 out of 10 numbers to play

you didn't get even one number correct because all 3 #s drawn were from the

4 remaining numbers you didn't pick!  What are the odds or math of that happening!

To be honest sometimes I think I would have better luck picking 6 numbers, then

just throughing out  4 of them & replace them with the remaining 4 I didn't pick the

first time.

Can't tell you how many times I have played tickets & lost money, then went well that

ain't working then the next day pick numbers but not play them & then of course they

win Go Figure That One Out!!!

I'm amazed how I can put hours of thought & research into my number selection

by evaulating past draws, looking at cold numbers, hot numbers etc make my best

educated decision based on that info & then not get one fricking number correct out

of the 6 I choose to play with!

It's simple logic.  With 10 numbers 0-9 you cover 1000 combinations of 3, with 6 numbers you cover 343 combinations of 3.  The 4 numbers you didn't include cover 125 combinations so the odds of you not having any of the numbers in your combinations are 125/1000 or 1/8 and the odds of you have all three numbers in the combinations you play depends on the numbers of lines you play but will be less than 343/1000.

Sounds like what you are doing is throwing out all the numbers that hit the previous draw.

So let's see if  this helps.

Look at the numbers highlighted in yellow. About 62% of the time one number repeats. Notice 3 followed 3, 2 followed 2, 8 followed 8, blah, blah, blah.......nice huh?

Now look at the numbers highlighted in the green looking color. 6 skipped one draw, not once but TWICE. 5, hit, skip, hit, skip hit. 7, hit, skip, hit. 9, same thing.

While we're at, let's look at how long each digit has been out. We know that each digit should repeat within 2  to 3 draws.

0 has been out 1 draw

1 out 0

2 out 1

3 out 0

4 out 4

5 out 3

6 out 0

7 out 5

8 out 3

9 out 6

What we do now is take all this and go over to Lottery Systems and see Laverne Maloney's CHA-CHA-CHA thread.

You'll be surprised at all the good people you find there!

It's not about  Math versus GOOD LUCK/ BAD LUCK OR DUMB LUCK. It's about using you're own picked digits and finding the right system or developing you're own system on pencil/pen and paper  . No,software can does this for you .. I
