I just bought a $200 Million Spectacular ticket from one of the scratch off vending machines in a Publix here in Florida and it has a black square printed to the right of the card number on the bottom right corner of the card.

Has anyone seen this before and could fill me in on why it's there? Or is it just a random square? I haven't scratched it yet to build some curiosity and do some homework for future buys. And yes, I'm not naive, if it meant it was a winner wouldn't a lot of clerks be winners?

Mhm, I'm pretty surprised I haven't scratched the ticket out of impulse yet. I have never ran into a ticket with it. I will reply if it was a winner or not when I get around to it.

it indicates the first ticket of the roll and the last ticket off the roll

it is on every 1st and last ticket of every roll

Win or lose its a game of chance
