Do you think that CA Fantasy 5 should start higher than base $50,000 prize?

No, it is fine where it is starting at $50,000 [ 2 ]  [11.11%]

I think that California Fantasy 5 game really should start at $100,000 prize instead of the measly $50,000 starting point.

I don't really like to play much unless the amount is over $100,000 or more, and really pile on when it is over $250,000 or at record levels like now at over $608,000.

Every time it goes over $100,000 the participation seems to increase and increments by $100,000 or more every day anyway. So they should be able to do this without changing the game format. Or do you think the game format itself needs to change as well?

Yeah, it should start at 100k because if 2 or more ppl win then it's not enough!

    Good luck on your #s!!!

I would love if the base jackpot was $100k, I hate all those measly $50k jackpots lol

5 people won that $608k jackpot tonight btw; $136,389 each

Most definitely...100 Grand would be great. After those taxes you only wind up with about $35 grand anyway if you are the only winner at $50 grand. Rip! In CALI, that money won't take you too far, lol.

Yeah, something never looked right about Fantasy 5 ratio comparedto other CA games anyway:

          Game

          Odds 1 in

          Avg Top Prize

          Ratio

          Mega Millions

          175,711,536

          $47,800,000

          27.20%

          Super Lotto Plus

          41,416,353

          $23,300,000

          56.26%

          Fantasy 5

          575,757

          $98,267

          17.07%

          Daily 4

          10,000

          $5,000

          50.00%

          Daily 3

          1,000

          $500

          50.00%

Should start at $100,000 and the next day rolls over by another $100,000 up to $200,000, then the average would be $150,000 or so. That wouldbe better and more comparable payout ratio.

I realize the Lotto Commission can tweek themargins on the various games to suit the overall winnings returned to thepublic. And sales/participation also factors into it, but they supposedly get well over $300,000 per day from this game, more than enough to cover.

Just seems they gamed Fantasy 5 too much. Startinglow at $50,000 is bad for sales, IMHO. The extra $42,000 in Bonus Bucksdrawings per week is nice, but that is just a drop in the bucket, not enough toaccount for the lower payouts versus revenue overall.
