Keep playing old games or move onto new ones?

Here in Texas I have been playing $500,000,000 Blockbuster since it came out on 05/18/09.  There are 3 $2.5 MIL and 13 $1 MIL prizes left.  Now there is a new $20 scratch-off that just started on 03/07/11, which is pretty much the same game with a new name, the $500 Million Frenzy with 10 $2.5 MIL and 40 $1 MIL prizes unclaimed.  Both of these games have approx. 34,000,000 tickets.

When I play scratch-offs I stick with one game.  But my question is would you quit the $500,000,000 Blockbuster and start playing the $500 Million Frenzy or would you just keep playing the $500,000,000 Blockbuster?

I might stick with the $500,000,000 Blockbuster game because my reasoning is that even though there are 13 top prizes left people have gone thru millions of these tickets helping pave the way for those last 13 winners remaining.  I am not a statistician but my thinking is that playing the $500,000,000 Blockbuster still give me better odds due to people paving the way.

I know you can make a case for either game but if you had to pick one of them which game would play right now and why?  I know lots of people like to play new games as soon as they come out but is that really a better strategy?

I would be torn between the games as I am in the same situation now.  I first was thinking that if I devoted all my funds to the old game with perhaps fewer tickets due to sales over time that I could increase my odds.   But at the same time the new games seem to have one or two of their jackpots hit with in the first 3 to 4 weeks.

So, that is what I am doing, I'm playing Color of Money since it is new for a couple weeks or maybe until the 1st jackpot hits and cutting way back on any older 10.00 game.  For example, I've gotten over 20 Color of Money and 1 Casino Action and 1 Cash Bonanza.   So I would still play both in a way but the ratio is like that... about 20 to 1.   Once the 1st Jackpot hits on Color of Money, I may buy 10 of each of the older 10.00 games.

    Happy hunting!

I dont think it really matters. I have personally had bad luck with new scratchers. Lots of cold rolls out there but usually new games have many big winners right in the first few weeks. Just avoid anything with no top prize remaining.
