  go to google and search, s.c. lottery and then click on palmetto cash 5 on the left side and look under "results"

  A few weeks ago for match 5, there was a 0 under the column "winners" but a 1 under the columns "power up" and "total" for match 5.

  How can you have a power up for match 5 without a winner for match 5?

  I thought you picked 5 right first, and then your power up number increased the payout.

  (unless it was a typo error and there should have been a 1 under the winner column for match 5)

  Well, use the search tool and choose March and look for March 3rd and you'll see it. Also, that same day, there is 1 match 4 winner, but 6 under the match 4 power up column, and then 7 in the total column for match 4.

  So they are adding the 1 + the 6 and getting the total of 7.

  What did these 6 people win for getting the power up number right "without" matching 4?

  If they only matched 3 and hit the power up number why are they listed in the match 4 line.

  There are two types of winners. Those that spent the Extra $1.00/line for the Power Up ball & those that did not.

  On Mar 3 you had 0 winners ( people that did not spend the extra $1.00/line for the Power Up ball) in the 5 of 5.

                       and 1 winner who paid the extra $1.00/ine for the Power Up ball in the 5 of 5

   

  For matching 5 of 5 - there was only 1 winner & he paid the extra $1.00 for the Power up ball which was the #2 - so he got $100,000 * 2 = $200,000.

  For matching 4 of 5 - there were a total of 7 winners & 6 of the 7 pd the extra $1.00 for the Power up ball which as the # 2.

  There are only 4 Power Up Balls - 2, 3, 4, or 5.

  The pay out for the 4 of 5 were as follow.  1 match 4 of 5 & not spending the extra $1.00 for the Power Up ball  - so he got $300.

                                                                   6 match 4 of 5 & spent the extra $1.00 for the Power Up ball - so they got $300 *2 = $600 each

   

  You did not give a date on the first part of your post ( you stated  " a few weeks ago " ) If you have a date, I would be glad to check it out for you.

  hi...........

  there are two ways to check results.

  The results for the last 5 days can be found by using google and searching s.c lottery and click on palmetto cash 5 on the left.

  When the results are viewed this way, the 3 columns are labelled:

  winners      powerup      total

  but if you search a previous date using the search tool the 3 columns are labelled more accurately, and are labelled:  winners w/o PU    winners w/PU    total

  I viewed the results for March 3rd using the first method, and the column labelled:

  "winners" was 0,

  "powerup" was 1,

  and "total" was 1.

  Since I had never used the search tool for older dates, I did not know the columns were labelled differently.

  Now for match 5, results of  0    1   1   makes sense. Thanks.
