It would be fun if an uberball lottery was created.

When I say uberball, I'm talking about a very hard to win game with huge jackpots.

I think a game where you have to choose 9 numbers between 1 and 999, and a bonus ball between 1 and 750 could be tough.

I'm not very good with math, so I'm not sure what the odds would be.  I wonder if people would possibly win the jackpot often.  If any of you are math geniuses, maybe you could calculate those odds.

This would be a good game to start the jackpot out at $100,000,000, and increase it by $20,000,000 each draw until someone wins.

I suppose after having won several PB and MM jackpots of only $200M, you now find those games too easy to win and boring, you now want a real challenge with big money, no?

      Haha, yeah I wish.

It would be a fun new game I think.  Imagine the # of tickets that would be sold if the jackpot ever got up to $1,000,000,000!

A 9/99+1/99 would be really hard, I can't imagine the odds for a 9/999+1/750 game.

         possible combos of 9/99 + 1/99 numbers = 171372063618756
         MATCHES   ODDS              WINNING COMBOS

But if you won the big one after a few weeks of rollover, you could buy Michigan.   And still have enough left to cushion the blow of the money you just lost.

but you could make the entry fee only 1c, and let people have massive combo's.

like a full wheel covering 10-15 numbers for about $20.

another good thing, for the gov anyhow is game isnt likey to even win before the sun goes out, and they will never have to pay up.

                2014 = -1016; 2015= -1409; 2016  = -1171; 2017 = ?  TOT =  -3596

                keno historic = -2291 ; 2015= -603; 2016= -424; 2017 = ? TOT = - 3318

I bet if New York were included in this new lottery, they'd have at least 3 or 4 winners per year.

You seem to have forgotten that while governments run lotteries, the prizes are paid from the cost to play, if it only cost a penny to play then the prizes will be only worth pennies.  Players don't play in real lotteries for bragging rights.

The odds on MM and PB are high enough, thank you. And the jackpots, even starting over are plenty high enough also. I do think eventually we will see MM and PB merge into one game. And with that, a change in the matrix, odds, and jackpot amounts.

How do you figure that, people win MM & PB a lot, especially in NY & Indiana.  I bet if you were to ask any MM or PB jackpot winner if winning was easy I bet they'd say "Oh yeah, TOO easy."

I think my uberball game would actually be tough like a lottery is supposed to be since the odds are even far greater than 1 in 100 trillion.  Still, I think there would be people out there that would win it too easily.

If winning is SO easy, why don't you ever see any repeat winners?  Once in a hundred lifetimes isn't hard enough?
