"Kirwan's fortune started to change on January 22nd with a stop at the Clothespin Laundromat on Route 9W in Catskill where he purchased five sets of numbers for that evening's Powerball drawing."

Looks like 5 is the lucky number!

And hey, every "thrifty" person I've ever known is suddenly in the bathroom when it's their turn to buy a round at the bar.White Bounce

The mathematics of probability teaches us the more tickets we buy the better chance we have of winning. I am not trying to encourage anyone to spend more than they can afford but simply pointing out the mathematics on this subject is quite clear.

            Good luck.

RAVEN62, I agree with you 100%.We have to be in the right place at the right time in order to win.So buying multiple tickets increase our chances of winning but we also spend more money.

CARL HUNTER won a  $97 millions powerball jackpot with $1 quick pick in the lousiana lottery. "Hunter was picking up a gallon of milk for his wife when he decided to also

purchase one Powerball “quick pick” at West Metairie Shell on West Metairie

                Avenue in Metairie".

“There was a person in line in front of me and behind me also purchasing
tickets for the drawing. I just happened to be in the right place at the right
time,” described Hunter, surprised and humble
