Today is Memorial Day, not Veteran's day.  Veteran's day is November 11 and it honors those that have served and are now serving in the military.

Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday observed on the last Monday of May (May 30 in 2011). Formerly known as Decoration Day, it commemorates U.S. Service Members who died while in the military service.

Thanks for that reminder Jack!  Once they're dead, they will never hear it - so I choose to acknowledge all, and should have included that acknowledgement to the deceased soldiers.

It is a common mistake.  Even the President doesn't know the difference!!
