When these first came out it showed winners pictures, first and last names, amounts, and towns.
I e-mailed thd Illinois lottery and told them it may not be such a great idea and said they certainly wouldn't want to be responsible for another Abraham Shakespeare. I also put up a thread and asked some other LP members to e-mail them, maybe it did some good.
When I played a ticket today I noticed that now it just shows the person's first name and amount.
Certainly not like being anonymous, but sure better than everyone in the state who plays lotto on any given day knowing whop you are, where you live, and how much you won.
Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.
There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.
