One of our sceular national symbols was fractured by the East Coast EQ: Washington Monument (obelisk)

And a sacred national symbol: Washington National Cathedral; fallen angel dethroned & damaged landed on pavem, ent.

Both, national secular & sacred sites closed for further assesment.

Could this omen with a message - BEOYND COINCIDENCE?.... think about it

What do you think as Irene arrivals comes closer?

May Our Mortal Ears & Eyes hear & see what is being put before us!

I've lived most of my life in D.C.,  and I think you're right it is a shake up,  a call for introspection,  a sign that there is something much bigger than politics,  governments,  and the status quo.   We have to get along and get over the pettiness,  do our part,  and take care of our families and friends because we can't count on BIG Brother to take care of us.   Our faith in a higher power gives us the ability to get through the events that test us.

The monument will be OK! The National Cathedral will also be OK.  As an added note:  There is a crypt in the cathedral I've been there (spooky you can feel it)! It is one of the most interesting places to visit in DC.  I used to service a bunch of equipment in there.

      Greetings jarasan.

Appreciate your personal take on this melodramatic moment; I have read a number of your relies & have enjoyed all.

Interestingly, I also was working in DC & living in Maryland during the riotus '60's, at that time employed by Evening Star Broadcasting - found out that  nothing on the Hill was serviceable Wink

You have my earnest curiosity relative to the crypt jarasan, would you kindly expand on that experience at the cathedral???

Thanks in advance for sharing via post or PM.

Here is a good article on the people residing there.

        http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/articles/5548/tales-from-the-crypt/

I had made several site visits to repair office equipment in the admin area of the gift shop when one day upon leaving during a conversation about the history of the cathedral my customer said we were right over the crypt area of the cathedral. At the time,  I had no idea there was a crypt there!   Probably the power of suggestion but I certainly felt different instantaneously,  nothing terrible but just spooky.   We were standing over more than a hundred deceased in a cathedral,  different than a cemetary or a morgue.  Of course,  every subsequent visit I would always be LOOKING for spirit activity.

Thanks jarasan, this modern age  'Tales of the Crypt' was a riot & still most informative.

Hope the hurricane rain did not flood any lower levels of the crypt thus bailing them out.

Histrorically ancient catacombs were a refuge for early Christians on the run Roman recruters for lion feed in the next arena entertainmemnt. In fact today, millions of Egyptian's have taken up permenent residence in ancient grave yards w/electricity, TV, & telephone connections. Cairo is massively over populated w/ a million new births every month - kind of like making advance reservations for early departures.

Classical Cathedrals usually had holy relics safely stored in relecquies (alabaster box holding remain of Saints) & were venertaed by the faithful followers. I did not read of any by the official Moricia. These relics were considered very powerful ebergy wise (something like a condenser/capacitor  holding an electrical charge). Chinese, traditionally, also hold ancestors in high esteem, venerating family remains with prayers & requsts for living decendents.

jarasan perhaps you were picking up some sort of energy vibe? Note

Perhaps a clue for ghost busters Wink

Perhaps it's the 'progressive' failed ghost of the 14 Point Plan, The Versailles Peace Treaty or the League of Nations that are howling in pain @ the oncoming WW!!  ??? Bat
