Hey Joey! Great job as always! :) May I suggest a favorite way to play when I like a set of numbers.
Well, you can combo it as combobongo does, so you have all ways it can hit, in this case for $1 dollar more you would have gotten $100 more so it is cost effective when your hot.
What I usually do is split the difference, in other words, when comboing a number you can either go for $1 or $.50, either $6 or $3. So what I do, instead, which I find works 75% of the time (A majority I can live with) is to play it in 4 orders for $1 for a $4 play. What this does is cover 4 of six ways, (this is for six way numbers I always combo a double full since it is so cheap)...so if I have 4 ways they only have two that I don't have, which means I have 75% of the number to their 25%. This is good when you want to cover a bunch of numbers you feel good about and that 2 bucks will allow you to play more combos.
If it's just one number it doesn't make a lot of sense not to spend the extra 2 bucks.
Now the question I posed to myself when originally deciding on this strategy...WHICH orders do I play?
I used to look at numbers and sometimes still do on which way the pair(s) hit recently but was very dissapointed a lot of the time so I found a way that works more often. What I do is this: (and it never changes no matter what this is the key to success with this most often, of course there are always exceptions based on a late breaking pattern or whatever but that is rare, usually that does not work the way we'd like..)
Lets say the number I like is 489. I will play it as it came in last time it appeared, in this case it happens to be 489, that is the first play, then 849 and 948 and 984. Done.
Now honestly that was done blind, a quick glance at the board and I see 845, 848 so using 849 and 948 works perfectly, however it won't always appear like that so smoothly and I don't worry about it, for the few times I can get burned on it, if I am hitting numbers it won't matter. Obviously if I am not hitting numbers, this strategy or any other is pointless!
Now you know why the NYL has cards with Four plays on it! :) I personally requested they make them for the 3 digit game and a few years later they did and I never asked for the four number format but they saw what I was leaving at some lottery agents which was a card with the format:
1. ABC 4 8 9 (These were blanks obviously)
2. BAC 849
3. CAB 948
4. CBA 984
If you use this format do not be tempted to deviate from it unless you are full comboing. This is a tried and true format that to be honest, I have only missed a straight hit once or twice in many, many wins, remember the odds dictate I will only miss 25% of the time but in actual play it is much less than that not even 10% of the time, IF I stick to it and have the combo trapped obviously. Hope this helps!
Good Luck!
