It takes exactly the same amount of time to type in 10 predictions (50 if they are a premium member) on the prediction page by using the "all states" tab. The big difference is other members can easily check the "good for all for all states" claims by viewing prediction statistics. For those using the prediction board, while they may show an overall loss, they might be making a nice profit in one or more states.
When they just post a bunch of numbers in the forums, they know nobody is going to take the time check all the results to see how badly they did. And when nobody comments when do catch a box, they comment on their own posts. If they post 50 6-way combos that's 300 numbers; what is so special about hitting a box somewhere by picking 30% of the numbers?
"And why is it that some dont post any predictions but make negative comments about the ones that do?"
I see nothing negative about mentioning the winnings by playing 50 predictions in every lottery drawing can't possibly cover the cost of play over even a short period of time (is it possible to play every state drawing?). The majority of those "good for all states" predictors are lucky if they catch one straight hit in a week and a box hit doesn't cover the cost of one state lottery pick-3 play.
"If you have better predictions than anyone taking the time to make the posts, by all means, post them! We'd all love to see them!"
Do you want me to make 220 predictions "good for all states" so I can brag how I picked at least a box hit in every pick-3 lottery every drawing?

Thats only if they want the same numbers for all states

Why can't we comment on our own posts? We are happy when we get a hit!

Exaggerating! Some may only post 8 or 16 or 24 numbers! Maybe someone likes 1 or 2 or a few sets of numbers that they may play and get lucky. No one has to play all the sets.

Again, the prediction boards in my opinion are there to have fun and experiment! I understand when you say about making 50 predictions for every state, .........etc.
But making the negative comments is really not justified by someone who doesnt make any predictions for anyone. Please post some numbers for some states. Show us if you can do better!

Now you are exaggerating. No! Make 16 or 24 sets per state every day or every 2 days for Pick4

"Good for all states" means exactly what it says and if they typed those numbers and clicked the "all states" tab, the rest of us could see if they really were "good for all states".

It's impossible for anyone living in the USA to legally play in every state lottery game even if they had the money to waste. The Internet gaming bill is currently being enforced so the only way we can legally play and/or collect is by buying our tickets from an authorized state lottery agent. If you or someone else can bet through an illegal bookie, it's useless information for those that can't.
There are predictors in the state pacific (for rdgrn) threads in the pick-3 forum that are congratulated by other posters. My arm is not long enough to continually pat myself on the back nor will I brag about hitting a number in state where common sense dictates I couldn't played the number in that state.
The point I'm trying to make is based on the question asked on this thread: "How do Predictions on here work". While I agree picking the correct five winning numbers in a Pick-5 game is an achievement, but after finding out nobody won the jackpot and the predictor won nothing for their achievement, why are we congratulating them?
Maybe that's why they congratulate them selves?
"Now you are exaggerating. No! Make 16 or 24 sets per state every day or every 2 days for Pick4"
Nope, I'm not exaggerating because there are 120 6-way box combos, 90 3-way box combos, and 10 triples in pick-3 games. One of those combos will be drawn in every drawing. The cost of play for the boxes is $105 playing 50 cents and the most a player could collect in fixed prize pick-3 games is $100. Where are bragging rights when the best expected win is a $5 loss?
Players do play all the triples; some every day because most of the time when I want to play one, the number is sold out. At $5 a pop, you'll need one triple every 50 drawings just to break even.
My point is really simple; those making their "good for all states" predictions can't play in all states and neither can the reader. Those not using the prediction board make it next to impossible for the readers to check their results. And congratulating yourself for a nonexistent win is about as vane as it gets.

Stack,
I totally inderstand what you are saying but you are interpreting my words incorrectly!
Let me just say this! This is Lottery Post and its here for people to discuss, post, make predictions and have fun if they can.
Allow people to make their predictions without critizing their efforts! Whether its in vain or not. But i dont think tapping yourself in the back is vain. We are our own worst critic, so sometimes we need to praise ourselves too!
We should all do it once in a while! Try it! Its good for you!

I think you should only be able to post 5 numbers for your state.. I think this is a feel good , pat your self on the back type of approach when u allow people to post 50 numbers etc.. NO VALUE !!! to anyone !!!

Well, its a good idea. Maybe someone should request it!
In my opinion, because i dont, i dont think anyone looks at the prediction board for numbers. This is why i play around with the prediction board.
Sometimes i will do it for all states, sometimes ill use numbers from a different workout. I think we are just experimenting on there most of the time.
I believe that most look at the threads for numbers. Yes, i do believe that posting many numbers is not a good idea but i think most try to improve on their systems as they go along and hopefully reduce their sets.
Again, i also believe that if you are consistent enough, maybe it will help someone. And i do believe it has helped some!
But as we all know, this is the Lottery we are talking about and no one can definitely tell you what numbers will come out next. If we could, we would not be here! There would not be a lottery!

If you are a regular member then you're limited to 10 lines per game. I seldom play less than 10 lines when I play, I play 15-25 lines so I can only post a potion of the lines I actually play when I play. Like real life, if you can afford to spend a little extra, you can post more lines and that's how it should be. I'm sure there are lots of other players who also spend more than $5 when they play.
Too many folk come to LP thinking everyone is here to help them win when the truth is no one can tell others how to win something they've never won themselves. The best most can do is share their theories about winning and test them out on the prediction board where everyone can view their success.

We have a member who says they will limit their MM and PB play next year to $60 total. Compare that to the to the extreme of 50 "good for all states" pick-3 forum predictions and it's obvious not very many members or Lottery players in general can afford to play that many predictions.
"Too many folk come to LP thinking everyone is here to help them win when the truth is no one can tell others how to win something they've never won themselves."
Or they are looking for a number to play and that's why I believe there is value to the prediction boards. Find the hot predictor in their state and catch a straight hit. There are some state specific hot predictors in Pick-3 Forum and many only offer 5 or less combos which is a reasonable play.
Probably my favorite "rolling my eyes" reads are when someone offers a system, explains it in detail, and other members post wanting them to do if for their state. As if it's impossible to follow easy instructions.

Every day two or topics are moved to the "appropriate" forum, but it would take 100 moderators to move or delete inappropriate posts. We have a prediction board and specific game forums yet people still feel the need to predict a bunch of numbers with no explanation in places like the Discussion, Math, Help, Gaming, and Suggestions Forums.
"Allow people to make their predictions without critizing their efforts! Whether its in vain or not."
Allow me to state my opinion and criticize whomever. Do you really believe it's possible to show a profit by playing 50 straight/box combos in every daily pick-3 game?
"But i dont think tapping yourself in the back is vain."
I'll reserve my pats on the back for when I actually have an accomplishment and I don't consider fooling naive readers into believing getting a couple box hits out of 50 picks "good for all states" an accomplishment.

This is totally irrelevant to what we are discussing.

You have that freedom. But really uncalled for! If you do wish to make criticisms, then expect replies to them. Maybe show how you can improve it if you can.

No, i don't. I didnt say that. Re-read my comments!!!

I dont think anyone is trying to fool anyone. You seem to be so critical of everything. Then i need to ask you this. Why are you a member here? To post your theories? Systems? Isnt that the same as posting numbers? What else are you here for? To comment on peoples' posts? To let out your frustrations?

That makes no sense! We either have the right to our opinions or we don't. Which is it?
"I dont think anyone is trying to fool anyone. You seem to be so critical of everything."
More nonsense because you all ready agreed it's impossible to make a profit by playing 50 straight/box combos in every daily pick-3 game. What other reason but to fool gullible readers is there for posting numbers that can't be played for a profit?
"Why are you a member here?"
Apparently right now I'm here to answer a bunch of dumb questions.
It's a fact it's next to impossible for any U.S. resident to legally play in all the state pick-3 games. We've already agreed that type of play can't make a profit and a box hit would still show a loss playing in one state. Since it's a terrible play, only a fool would find nothing wrong with suggesting other members play that way.
