For those of us who can't 'pick our nose' let alone numbers.

Why not try this, for crossword fans there's a blog called L.A. Times Crossword Corner.

On Saturdays since there is no theme for the puzzle, it shows this:

Theme: None

Words: 68

Blocks: 34

So I was thinking of making that a Pick 4, or Pick 3 (first three, last three digits), for the week.

Or when the blog doesn't show it you could just count the words and blocks (dark spaces) and make that the play of the day.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

Picking numbers isn't any harder than picking your nose if you pick them as randomly as you pick your nose.

      RJOh,

It comes from sports betting, especially "selection services".

You want to charge me what for your five star pick?

You can't even pick your nose.

Anyone who would need to pay a "selection service" to pick their bets in sports betting, would probably need to pay a "service" to pick their nose too.  Anyone who doesn't know sports well enough to make their own bets, shouldn't be betting.

True, RJOH, but the really sharp operatoes know that the degenerate gambler has to have somebody to blame it (the losses) on, and they know that is what they're really providing.

          It is a huge business.

There are start ups of lottery prediction services too, but  gamblers who use them stop using them after a while when they don't win.  Most are usually out of business after a year or two.

True, proven results in lotto are a lot harder to come by then a sporting event, but some of those sports services aren't dealing in chump change. I knew of one in Las vegas that charged $1750 per game for a baseball game. What are people betting on the game who would pay $1750 to see what side to bet?

There was also a bookie in NYC that only acceepted a $50,000 minimum bet, straight up, no parlays, sides only, two game minimum.

Hardly like giving out numbers for $1 bets that pay $500 or $600, or giving advice on decisions made by ping pong balls spun in air or results from RNGs.
