Did any of you give up on the lottery for 2012?

How long do you think it will last?

If you didn't give up, what are you going to change about your playing style in 2012?

I didn't give up anything and will continue playing - what I might change is beefing up my pick 4 plays

alittle more than last year.

I'm constantly evaluating what I play and how much, but especially at the end of the year.

This year I'm cutting back how much I spend...I spent too much money last year. In years past I won about the same amount I won in 2011 while spending fewer dollars. One line on each jackpot game, one line on Cash 5, and one number on Daily 4 for each draw.

    Good luck everyone.

Yeah I forgot. I've been playing more QPs myself lately, and it seems I win more often (win is not completely accurate LOL) with QPs than my own numbers.

I don't care how I win, just so I win!!!!!

I'm not going to give up on numbers so easy, I find the numbers I pick tend to fall days later, by then I've switched up, so I resolve to play them a little longer.

              I resolve to:

              1) Win more often by continueing to experiment with new methods and systems. At least until I find one that works really well for me.

              2) Eliminate the long losing streaks.   Bang Head    (Which will take care of winning more often.)   Hurray!

              3) See sully16 above.

                     Good Luck Everyone!!!!

#3 grwurston, very, very good advice. HOLD them longer - sully, lol, there's some I play forever and they

don't come and then some I play for a couple days, drop and BAM...there they are...Roll Eyes

Sad to see a number you played straight on Tuesday for instance, come in on Friday. Worse yet to

see one you played the night before come in the very next day draw. Thud

lol! I was kind of hoping pumpi would see this. He might have some insider info on how to avoid the

                  laboratory table.

Gives me the creeps actually, they probably collect more info on winners than we know. I don't have to

worry about that too much, I'm not winning all the time. No Nod Sure wish I was, I'd risk it. Naughty

                    alittle more than last year.

I am playing less and saving the money for something.  I do not know what just yet but it is not lottery tickets or casino play.  I am playing megabucks because it is high right now but when it is won I will stop playing that game and wait for powerball and mega millions to climb.  Since I have yet to win a jackpot in either multi-state game I will not be spending my money on every draw play in 2012.  In the past I would have played every drawing but this year I'm trying something new and only playing when the jackpot is big so I save money that way.  Plus I am going to $1 tickets with multipliers on them for megabucks and mega millions and for powerball $2 with powerplay.  It will be no more than $100 a month that way and then the rest goes into the bank.  Good luck to all who play this year.-weshar75

I had a couple $1,000 winners in 2010 as well as several $500 and many lesser prizes - all on scratch-offs, but I was probably close to even for the year.  Also hit the Rolling Cash 5 for $300 three times as well as several $10 and loads of $1.00 prizes.  ... I was more aggressive in 2011 and did not do as well.    Several $500 winners on scratch-offs, but nothing over $10 on the RC5.  I definitely lost in 2011.

I'm scaling back the amount of money I spend this year and will stick with my numbers and qps on RC5.  I'm going to scale way back on scratch-offs and only grab a $20 twice a month (if that) - maybe one each payday.

I live in a small town and there are at least three men in town who go to all the places who sell tickets and they literally buy ALL the $20 tickets.  They spend over $1,000 at each place (and there are four here in town) and run the tickets until they hit a $500 or $1,000 ticket for each game.  Sometimes they buy an entire book or two looking for a big winner.  It's very hard to buy here in town because the chance of grabbing something after they have bought theirs has been nil.

I'm cranky today.  17 raffle tickets - all spread out over the life of the sales and not one winner.  Does not bode well for the new year. Disapprove
