Thanks....Nice to see you again...! Well, sometimes it doesn't work, I remember a couple of times that I played combinations for Midday & it came out on evening & viceversa...and I don't have the tendency to repeat everything twice a day...let's see what happens tonight.

Have you read the Florida Fantasy5  thread where Mr.GiveFive has given valuable information?

I don't worry too much about numbers appearing in a draw that happened very recently.  The numbers are what they are in whatever draw they appear in is how I look at it.

I do think about whether or not I've ever played a certain combo in the past. I'm sure over the years I've been playing that I've picked a line of numbers that I also played years ago.  Problem is I'll never know if I did it or not, not that it makes any or a lot of difference.

I also think about if I am playing a line of five numbers that has been previously drawn. That's a lot different, because the chances of that particular line being drawn for a second time is very small.  That said, that very thing has in fact happened approximately 100 times in T5 since the game began way back in 1991.  There are even TWO sets of five numbers that have been drawn three times.  (3,4,6,18,35 has been drawn on 9/30/2007, 8/31/2012 and on 12/13/2021.   18,21,27,37,38 was drawn on the following dates -  1/14/2010,  1/10/2020 and on 9/10/2023)

Many players get freaked out about a set of five numbers being drawn twice, but the reality is that it's a common occurrence  in Pick5 games played in many states across The USA. It shouldn't happen but it does.  Massachusetts' Mass Cash Pick5 game is another game that has seen one set of five numbers be drawn three times in 6,969 drawings. About the only thing I can think of as to why it happens is state lotteries use ball and drum machines which introduces a physical man made element.  Math experts that say it should not happen live in a theoretical world.   G5

Not that anybody here plays a lot of Mass Cash, but for what it's worth -

Mass Cash started on 3/28/1991 and there have been 6,969 drawings held since then. (Through last night)  It's a 5/35 matrix with 324,632 to 1 odds to win a jackpot. It's a fixed jackpot of \$100,000 and it's NOT parimutuel.  So if you played the same line twice, and those five numbers hit, then you'd win \$200,000. A few years ago, a player won a million dollars by playing the same line of five numbers TEN times!  Of course if two players hit the jackpot, then they both win \$100,000.

There have been a total of 77 drawings where the same set of five winning numbers was drawn at least twice, and one set of five was drawn three times.

I dunno why I posted this,,,, but the same game characteristics you'll see in Take5 will and do happen across the board elsewhere.  Maybe I posted it to show everybody that The NY Lottery isn't as nice to players in New York as other states are to their lottery playing public!!!  G5

Something I noticed way back when I lived in upstate NY, was that most jackpot winners came from the NY metropolitan area, and also in Erie County, which is where the city of Buffalo is located.  That's because the most T5 tickets were sold in those places, and that's due to the fact that the most players also live there.

I felt somewhat discouraged by that, so whenever I went to NYC, I usually bought some T5 tickets while in The City. (Never did me an ounce of good, but at least I felt like I had a better shot than if I bought tickets in my home town.)

Guess what happens in The State of Florida.  There are 6 million people living in Miami Dade County and two million living in Tampa. (Hillsborough County).  I live about a half hour's drive south of Tampa, and jackpot winners do get sold in the county I live in, but not nearly as many as are sold in Miami and Tampa.  So now days, whenever I go to Tampa (mostly the airport to pick up relatives flying in, I buy some Florida FF5 tickets.  (Never did me an ounce of good either!)

But one thing is for sure, and that's I'm not giving up and stop playing.  The other day, I saw a jackpot winning FF5 ticket was sold in Naples. And if you know southwest Florida, and you are aware of who lives in Naples, you'd probably wonder why in the world would someone who can afford to live in Naples buy a FF5 ticket??  Leme tell ya, there aint anybody living in Naples who bought a FF5 ticket because they're flat broke.  Naples is full of nothing but one percenter's. When you ride around in Naples, it makes people who THINK they did well in life realize that they really didn't do so well after all.  So keep playing no matter where you live.  If you do win a jackpot, you're going to feel awfully good.  G5

Sometimes you might hear a player talk about a "longshot" lottery number.  In thoroughbred horse racing a longshot is a horse that bettors don't particularly like, so the odds for that horse to win the race are higher than "the favorite".

With lottery numbers a longshot is a number that has sat out quite a few drawings.  Right now in T5, #4 is the longest skip at 21 drawings.  It's a longshot. In all time T5 history the record for a longshot is 77 drawings, which was set by two numbers (#4 & 32) way back when there was just one T5 drawing per day. Whenever I saw a number approaching skipping 65 draws, I started playing it every drawing.  That's because skipping 77 drawings is a record that has never been broken. So as a number starts getting close to having gone missing for 65 or more drawings, it wont be long before it hits.  77 drawings out used to be a "wall" that numbers just could not smash through.

But now that there are two drawings per day, I doubt we'll ever see a number disappear for 77 drawings. Unfortunately, I don't know what the new record for sitting out drawings is.  My guess is that it's approximately 39 drawings.  So if you know a number has gone missing for 30 or more draws, start playing it. It wont be long before it shows up.  G5

That only happens when I play at the store, not when I play online...
