  Leaving for South Carolina today.  Stopping overnite in Virginia where I'll buy Bank a Million. (6/40 with a top prize of 1 million NET to the winner. Va will pay the taxes so a player collects a full million "doll-uzz" as Yolanda would say)

  Then on Monday it's on to Myrtle Beach where Tropical Storm Bonnie is kickin' a$$ right now, but they say she'll be gone by Monday.  Palmetto Cash5 will be my game in replacement of T5.  Cash5 is a 5/38 game, top prize is $100,000, but if you buy the "Power Up" option (I'm gonna do that) you could jump that 100 grand all the way up to 500 grand!  And.... since the game isn't parimutuel, if ya played the same line 10 times, and all five "num-buzz" came home, you'd win at least a million "doll-uzz", but if the Power Up option was slammed on each of those lines, Hells Bells, I'd don't know how much you'd win!  (But it sure would be a lot of money.)  Early this year, somebody in SC bought 3 lines of the same five numbers and also added The Power Up to each line.  Those five numbers came in, and because the Power Up number was 3, the player collected $900,000. Not too shabby for a six dollar investment.

  Oh!!  BTW I forgot to mention we'll be driving thru Pennsylvania where I'm gonna stop today and buy 7 Millionaire Raffle tickets.  Those are for the pool I run at work. 

  These tickets are 20 bucks a pop, but the odds are 1 in 125,000 to win a million bucks.  I've already bought a couple for myself, and The Mrs G5 surprised me with one a couple of weeks ago.

  The drawing doesn't go off until July 9th, and ticket sales have been running at 2,000 per day since they started selling them in early May. (PA sells a max of 500,000 tickets, but there are four top prize winners so that's what drops the odds to 125,000 to 1)  Crazy thing about ticket sales is about a week before the drawing, that 2,000 tickets sold per day will sky rocket to 40,000 per day.  If they don't sell all 500,000 tickets, they still hold the raffle anyway, but the odds go lower. They never have a problem selling all 500,000 tickets. G5

  That was a short retirement Minkski....

  In Fredricksburg Va headed to Myrtle Beach where The Weather Channel says the weather will be lousy all week. 

  Lousy weather or not, I'm jumpin' on Palmetto Cash5 when we pull into Myrtle.  Today, before we leave, I'm goin' into that Wegman's across the street and gettin' me some of Va's  "Bank a Million."  Stopped in Harrisburg Pa and bought 3 Millionaire Raffle tix.  Those are for pool I run at work. Gonna stop and buy some more on the way back home next week. G5
