Depends on who you read of course but I remember one article that said 50% of jackpot winners are worse off five years after winning a jackpot than they were before they won it.
Oh ye!? Guess then it's better to play for 2nd prize instead. Surely, if a homeboy from the hood wins $200m, he wont invite his homeys to chill at the $5m crib in Bel Air. Be prepared to lose a lot of riends, and make a lot new ones. Ifcourse, if the jack is gone in 5 years, then it's back to the PJs.
Reminds me of a 31 year old woman who had nothing left but a video tape of her 21st birthday party in LA with celebs and photogs and friends at some club. When the dough was gone, so were her friends, and now she lives in a studio apt with a cat.
