There are 1000 possible combinations in the p3 game. There are 120 non-repeat numbers that can play 6 ways each giving you 720 combinations. There are 90 one-repeat numbers (doubles) giving you 3 ways to play each yielding 270 combinations. There are 10 triples.

Sums run from 0 to 27. The 0 and 27 sum have only one play each (000 and 999, respectively) and are expected to play 1x every 1,000 draws. The 13 and 14 sums have the most possible combinations of 75 plays each and are expected every thirteen draws and should play 4.65x per month based strictly on the percentages. The following represents a summary of the sums and how often they should play.

Sums          Combos       Expected # Draws            Expected/ Month

0 and 27        1                     1,000                          .06

1 and 26        3                       333                           .19

2 and 25        6                       167                           .37

3 and 24        10                     100                           .62

4 and 23        15                      67                            .93

5 and 22        21                     48                            1.3

6 and 21        28                     36                            1.74

7 and 20        36                     28                            2.23

8 and 19        45                     22                            2.79

9 and 18        55                     18                            3.41

10 and 17      63                     16                            3.91

11 and 16      69                     14                            4.28

12 and 15      73                     14                            4.53

13 and 14      75                     13                            4.65

Those of us that talk about balance play is a reference to the sum pairs as illustrated (the 13 and 14= 27, the 12 and 15+ 27, etc.).

If you want to see what sums are due, track how often they are playing and take your best guess as to which sum will play next. good luck.

I went to play my numbers, almost all the newspaper headlines was 442 yrs.  last eve was 774 which is 224, so I figure it's a very good possibility for today.  So I added 442 and 422.

I'd like from your set 851 322 877 977 to show

I think the best tip I can give you is find a number that is due. See what numbers it has paired with in the past. You probably get your pair like that then you might need to find your last digit. But sometimes you might have to stick to it for awhile for it to show.

The other thing is maybe look at the systems thread and the thread loon mentioned. The win is not going to come down without you doing your part. What i do I get certain numbers and study them with what others predict. We are in a community forum so thats what i do. I sometimes post numbers I believe will come up for the upcoming draw. And trust me many times it hasn't and I have lost too. So you obviously dont want to keep losing so you have to change your strategy. Everybodys strategy is different. You would have to see which one best works for you and gives better result. Im the type of person that does not go by the due sum. Others like loon do and sometimes it does play a roll in narrowing your choices. Its simply sticking to the strategy that best works for you. Trial and error since this a chance game You never know :D. One day your lucky and some others your not.

Good advice, I would also recommend following each poster for a short period of time to see who's strategy is geared to your type of play. How far will your bankroll take you? Are you comfortable with 1 to 5 picks or 10 plus picks? Are you willing to chase a number until it shows (like me) or would you change your picks per draw? I kind of started off by playing double digit picks (88x) boxed which for .50 which would get you \$80. Then i progressed into other type of plays as the bankroll grew. I was never any good at sums, so i stood away from them. Play on paper as if you were really putting money down. Dont worry if you would have had a hit "if" you had really played  because there will be many draws for you to get "lil jimmy"!
