I still work. Been at same place for 37 years. People ask me why don't you retire I told them

i don't have enough money to retire. Plan on working untill i am 70 i am 55 now hopefully i

will have enough money by then.Thud

I was looking at the Social Security website and I will have to pay taxes on Social Security.  I was so shocked.  My husband is still trying to absorb that.  I always thought it was tax free.  Most of the people I know don't pay any social security taxes

If you know your number is going to hit, have patience and then KILL IT!

You never know when you will get another hit.

My mother drew the most social security check allowed.......she has been dead almost 1 1/2 years,  if i rememeber correctly it was around 1400.00.

we had a acct. that helped and she filed every year, and i don't remember her having to pay.    the only thing she had to pay was if she borrowed some on

her cd's.   or on the interest........i think it is so wrong that you work your butt off,   forever......and then retire.....and still have to pay on what was taxed as

you earned....it......i wonder who's idea that was...?

I looked it up and it seemed as if it had something to do with the "formula" which originally was made to make social secuirty self supporting with no money from any other source.  The formula was revamped in either 1983 or 1985 because it was flawed.  It was flawed because when it was made, NO ONE ever could believe that 1 person could make millions in a year!  I don't know why they would make the amount of "taxation" so low.  I bet if they really revamped it, the people who make the most would pay more (millionaires)and people who make less would pay less (middle class).  Poor folks already don't pay taxes on their social security.  I think the top wage earner bracket is around $100,000.00   that is so fake!

Probably working!!  But I am going to tell you guys..watch out for that sum 23 on midday..689,599,779,788

Normally when TN gets really stupid with the plays it is because they are trying to draw your attention away from what they really want to drop.

so for midday, you have sums 23, 9,18 (27)
