So i go into one of those convenience stores that are attached to a gas station, one that I've never been to before. Thats always a risk when you are a last minute Louie like me, trying to beat the midday cutoff. Many of those terminals have a person that is trying to do multiple things, and the lotto machine is not their strong suit, or even a concern about when they are close to the cut off. I figure I have a few precious minutes, but he's laboring thru my verbal instructions, and I'm trying to get out of the way of others that are also playing the deadline close. I know how that feels to be so close - one person away in line and miss playing! When I said 779, the long out double I've been chasing, he's saying 799?, and like that thru a few other numbers. I am chasing another long out double: 599, and when he said it back he said "299?" , I corrected him, but then said give me 299 whl x2, instead of the x5 I was doing the others since it was a "mistake".
That's the difference between $422 and $1,110 - but I'll take the $422 ! Plus across the border, I hit $115 on QuickDraw in NY, and used it to play ahead nearly a week so I won't have to drive up there so often. Not a bad day so far - congrats to all other winners!
