    can we write off the losses even if we dont have a taxable win this year to offset it?  if so Ive been missing out :-(

    I have done it for 3 years now.........I save all tickets and get receipts daily. I did not win anything where the tight wad  Marge had to write me a check

        just one more question, because i did claim my losses when i had a taxable win, but when u claim the untaxable losses where u didnt win anything big, do u have to subtract the untaxed wins anyway and just claim loss of the difference between the 2?  I will read up on it too

          You can deduct losses UP TO the amount of your winnings that are on the G1099 you receive from the Lottery Office.  You can NOT deduct more than you won.

                yes i did..... i just have to get enough confidence to play $1.00 and straight but im a sore loser so i play what i can afford to loose...lol but the journey gave it to me straight....then i seen the post about repeat sunday so i took a chance....

                 

                 

                im jus really upset that she didnt do one quad or triple this month not to mention she didnt bring 911 straight up instead she played her games with us and bought triple 6's as 661 and 911 as 614 she just a ole party pooper but i will say that i have been playing for 6 weeks now and if i keep it up and pay attention to you all this might be my residual income...lol

                      You are welcome.  Glad you got it off the Journey.  I have not been paying attention.  Got a lot going on. Trying to post also.  I have a death I am dealing with.

                            The form is W-2G.  I said it was G-1099.  Sounded right!
