Hopefully someone can help me.

Let's take a pick 5 game as an example. What I want to get are the 'followers' of a set of numbers that are drawn. Let me explain further.

Let's say: 3-7-8-10-33 came out tonight.  I want to collect all the drawings that have at least 3 number the same from the 3-7-8-10-33 and get the 'followers'. Next I want to know out of these followers, how many times the digit came out.

Let's say: Jan. 2nd  3-6-7-10-34 came out so we have at least the 3-7-10 so what was the numbers the very next day? Well on Jan. 3rd the numbers drawn was 4-5-20-33-39.

What am I trying to do? Well I'm trying to see what numbers follows the very next day and how many times so in this way I know which number likes to be drawn the next day with a particular number.

Understand or confused? Thanks for looking.

Here's an example of a pick 6 game here in China:
Last numbers drawn on 2012-10-25--------------3-5-12-15-23-24
So now I'm going to see if in previous draws there was at least 3-6 numbers from the previous draws that are the same. When I find a draw that has at least 3-6 of the same numbers drawn in the last drawn number. I write down what  came out the VERY NEXT DAY DRAW.
For example on 10-7 the numbers drawn was:  5-6-7-12-15-28 . At least 3 numbers came out from the last draw(3-5-12-15-23-24).
Now what I want to do is write down the numbers for the very next draw which was 12-20-25-26-27-28.
My goal is to know what number tend to follow when at least 3-6 of the same numbers from the previous draw come out. So after using at least 50 prevous draws, number 25 came out 4 times and 22 came out 4 times. So to me chances are good that either or both of these will fall for the next draw. I would select the number that are drawn the most.

Here's an actual example of a 1 year draw result:

the most recent draw was

We have 3 draws a week. So as you can see  16,24,25 came out 4 times and 33 & 27 came out 3x

I want to be able to do this for at least 5 years of draws.

I already programed that, by single numbers and by combinations.
No, I am not selling.

What do you want to do with it?

Use it as a tool to select my numbers and also have others benefit from this type of program. I want to compare the followers with the numbers that are either 'hot, cold or due or what my instints tell me. I'm interested in the group numbers not so much the single followers. From groups of 3,4,5, or 6 as I stated in my initial post.  Of course I could do it manually but it some what time consuming.

For single numbers you can do this manually or in Excel. For more you need to write a program. - A drawn number can be hot or not, follower or not and both together, partially or not. That makes 2*2=4 cases. - Indeed you could try winning by wheeling only hot and followers. -  Even if you find high scoring followers, they will start failing to some point, as it is in the nature of the lottery that the drawings are mainly different.

Headers: Date n1 n2 ... nn function.

Apply filter on function.

--------------------------------------------------

Your job is to study the built in functions first.
For each function there is a good help file. Read it, try it and repeat it.

functions, filter, sorting and coloring.

-----------------------------------------------------------

After filtering you can copy the results and paste them to another sheet if you want to work on the found data.
