yeah that sucks. Glad in New England we have lucky for life. $1,000 a day for the rest of your life. Hope I can win that soon.

I bought 8 Massachusetts raffle tickets and a 1 Rhode Island raffle ticket. I dont like the way the MA raffle is this year. I liked how it was last year.

Yeah its a great game. There has been 5 winners so far since it started last March. 3 in Massachusetts and 2 in Connecticut. That is $364,000 a year before taxes. They gurantee 20 years so if you pass before 20 years they still pay whats left to your estate or family. Im not sure how that works.

250,000 tickets will be sold for $10 each. Only 1 one million dollar prize available and 4 ten thousand dollar prizes plus some smaller prizes. Lame!

They've been having promos at different retailers across the valley. Show up during the 3 or 4 hour time frame that the lottery reps are there, buy 2 raffle tickets and get a $5 scratch off for free. Even with doing that at 4 - 6 different stores, only 142,000 have been sold thus far, a little slower than usual. I'm betting it will sell out as soon as people start getting desperate to find Christmas gifts for the difficult-to-buy-for people on their lists.

Just out of curiosity, how many people posting in this thread have received a PM from some guy who's been a member for just a few weeks wanting you to buy raffle tickets for him and mail them?
