Illinois has a new twist to the 6/52 game, Extra Shot.
A 7th ball is drawn, the Extra Shot ball that adds to payoffs.
As far as I know, the Extra Shot ball is strictly a QP. The playslip simply has a checkmark for Extra Shot and the ticket says either Extra Shot Yes or No.
There are 25 balls in the Extra shot bowl.
Here are the actual payouts for Dec 10, with and without Extra Shot:

(Bolding mine)
Notice that 1 of 6 pays $2 with the Extra Shot and 0 of 6 pays $5. Also, as with most $1 additional plays, notice most peole don't play it.
The chart is available here:

I'm just wondering how the odds would be figured on this. On the chart on the web page it says Odds of Base Lotto 1:32 and Odds With Extra Shot 1 :9.
Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners.
There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.
