Hi everyone,

Okay just a question. Found out that someone in my town won a big jackpot on a scratch ticket. It was the 5,000 a week for life 10 dollar ticket (the guy choose the cash option and got 4 million). I'm wondering if that means there will never be another jackpot winner on a scratch off ticket in my town again. It seemed like many other surrounding towns would have scratch off winners for jackpots but not my town, now that my town has a big winner I'm wondering if I should continue to buy scratchoffs in my town because I'm afraid we may never have another big winner. Though I do realize there are many other prizes that would still be great to win (wouldn't mind getting a 100 dollars etc win), though I really play for the dream of winning a jackpot and now I feel that has been diminished. Still thrilled for the winner though. What are your thoughts about this?

Hi rdgnr,

Now that would be nice if it was as you say. Wisconsin does make fabulous cheeses though.

There was a woman somewhere...I can't remember, but she won a million dollars and came back two months later and won a million more...same store too...and they were scratch-offs

I believe it was somewhere in Texas.

LADY LAKE — For the second time in a week, a Lady Lake resident has cashed in a $1 million prize in the Florida Lottery's new 25th Anniversary Edition Millionaire Scratch-Off game.

"I was out driving on [last] Saturday and for some reason I got the feeling to stop and purchase a Lottery ticket," said Nikeshia Rawls, 36, of Lady Lake, according to a Florida Lottery news release Wednesday. "Lucky for me it was a $1 million winner!"

the internet is full of these stories, just use google you can read all about them,

yes there is more winning tickets. go to your states website it will tell you what scratch tickets has been won and what are left.

as for if you want to stop playing thats up to you.

I have seen people from the same towns/cities winning the jackpot prizes of scratch off tickets within a year of one another. If I was you I wouldn't play that particular ticket in your town if you only want to win the top prize. Good luck

I read a simliar story..not sure if it was the same one...The one I'm talking about is Joan Ginther. She has a PhD in mathematics. I believe she won 4 times. There was some speculation that she'd done some kind of mathmatical analyzing that pin pointed where the winning tickets were.

Keep playing but not the same game. Don't go nuts. Try buying 1 or 2 each.
