Some devices, such as the Kindle Fire HD and the HP TouchPad, have been experiencing problems using the regular Log In page that everyone uses. The symptoms are that after clicking the Log In button, the "please wait" icon continues swirling and never stops — you never get logged in.
Debugging on tablet devices is extremely difficult, because for some reason the tablet manufacturers do not provide debugging tools for the tablet browsers. So despite lots of attempts, I have not been able to figure out why certain tablet devices cannot deal with the Lottery Post Log In page.
As a result, I built a work-around: If the device you're using does not let you use the regular Log In page, simply click the new "Log in using the Simple Log In page" link on the Log In page, and you will be taken to a very simple page that does work with all devices.
As a security measure, the new simple page requires the entry of a "CAPTCHA" style security code, which I'm sure most of you are familiar with. It also provides the same abilities as the regular Log In page to save your Username (or not) and to stay logged in between browser restarts (or not).
