I like to play a few scratchers when I go on vacation, so a couple weeks ago for my vacay week I bought $500 worth. I found some $5,000,000 Luck tix at a Publix liquor store and grabbed a bunch of those, plus a mix of __X the Cash. I wound up getting $310 back on the $500, so a 62% return on investment. That's right around the expected percentage return on Florida scratchers. It was a $100 winner on a $5,000,000 Luck that put me in that range...
I see they've got a new batch released this week, all holiday/Christmas themed tickets. IDK, but isn't it a little early for the holiday tickets to come out? There's $1, $2, $5, and $10 tickets, but no $20 or higher tickets. (Plus the odds on the $10 Holiday Cash Blowout (looks a lot like $500 Madness) are 8.8 to 1, so I probably won't be playing that one.
I think the Florida lottery might be beginning to feel the pain. Pushing the holiday theme, dropping higher-priced tickets... Any thoughts?
I am not sure on Florida, but PA always pushes the holiday tickets at end of October.

Congrats to all recent winners. Scratch offs have been a little dull lately. Last week I won $200 on the $20 monopoly it was a win all with $10 under each number. Also won on the $30 gold rush. Was a 10X symbol with $10 under it. So $100. Lately been winning $100 here and there. Nothing bigger yet! Hoping to hit that 100,000 soon!
Good luck to all! 😇
I am a magnet for divine abundance in the form of money, health and happiness! Sending love and light to all my beautiful souls.♥

Hi Skeptic, that does sound like a fairly dry return on that many tickets. Speaking of the $20 LFL, in looking over pics of my decent wins on that game I noticed that many appear to be within ticket numbers 000 and 020...could just be a coincidence, but maybe not since when that game showed up for a bit in mainstream places a little ago several more pics than usual of nice wins popped up in the Facebook group and so many seemed to be in the same ticket number range.
Nice job on the three wins above...back to back $100s is pretty rare so great to see at least those come your way...hope the next ones are even bigger.
Oh, one more thing - Happy Birthday to you!!...🎉🎁💰🍰 hope you enjoy your special day with some great wins!!

Hey there Sum Buddy, I agree on the 62%...sounds consistent with what might be expected, if not on the higher end of the typical % return range.
I know it seems like retailers start holidays/Christmas earlier every year but for the seasonal lotto series I think time is typical. In fact last year's seasonal games are still active and upon looking them up saw they came out Oct 28t last year, so the last Monday in October is consistent. Oh, the $10 Holiday Blowout is odds-wise identical to the earlier green Blowout ticket released in 2019 (game #1418)...its just in a different look (different symbols, winning combos, and amount of "Winning Numbers" and "Your Numbers" are, unlike the older Blowout, more consistent with recent $10 games). I once went 0/21 on consecutive tickets in the older Blowout so am leery of this game and will likely play the $10 Madness over this one.
Also, topping the holiday series out at $10 is consistent with recent years, as they've typically "borrowed" an existing $20 game the last few years and put out some in a holiday wrapper (think back to the red holiday $20 GRC in 2018, and the light green $20 Luck last year). This year it's the $20 200X. Same with the new 2nd chance promo runn8ng with the holiday tickets...in addition to the new holiday tickets the 200X is also eligible, but no other games in the new X- multiplier series.

Couple of nice solid symbol wins there on the new , Brock, congrats! I have to admit I like that $100 symbol on the new Blowout...might have to end up playing some of those to try and catch one for my collection, lol!!

Thanks for the clarification, Cape!
BTW, did you see that the 'new' Lotto game can also be entered into the second chance drawings? First time I've seen that..
At any rate, I hope the cards fall in your favor!

When playing Lotto, get each set of numbers on a single ticket (for $2 or $3 if you get the second draw option). If you play 5 number sets, get 5 individual tickets so each individual ticket can be entered into the Second Chance drawing.

Hi Sum Buddy, glad to help, and yes I was surprised to see that about the Lotto when I was reading about the current second chance, as they don't usually mix scratch offs and draw games in the. So yep I think they are indeed trying to promote the latest version of Lotto.

Hi Duckman, indeed great second chance strategy for the Lotto tickets!...since each valid ticket counts for 5 entries no matter the ticket cost.
So, yes, in your example above spreading out to 5 individual tickets would mean potentially 25 entries vs 5 entries on a single ticket. Additionally, if all 5 plays are on a single ticket and a single play wins than the losing plays cannot be entered because the ticket would be a winning ticket (even if a net $ loss).
Hope you are doing well and getting some nice wins!! 🍀

I also discovered that **winning** Lotto tickets are eligible for the second chance drawing if you enter them before turning them in. Not winning scratch tickets, just winning Lotto tickets. You can also enter the Lotto tickets before the drawing.
Checking the rules, it also appears that you don't have to have the winning Lotto ticket to claim the prize.

Hi Duckman, thanks for clarifying the info about the Lotto draw game ticket eligibility for the second chance!...indeed I see now where unlike the scratch offs winning Lotto game tickets can be entered as well. Also, it appears that in addition to the Lotto entries, if a scratch off entry wins a second chance prize the physical ticket is no longer needed for the entrant to claim the prize.
